  1. See if we don't get a free trade agreement with the EU, it means we charge tarrifs on their goods and they charge tarrifs on ours. Since we have a trade deficit with the EU it means we will be quids in. That's what I call a result.
  2. I don't know about anyone else here. But I'm getting mighty @&£)&@& off at european politicians threatening us over Brexit. If that is their attitude they can £@&£ their cars and they can £&)( their beach holidays.
  3. I believe TATA are now going to invest £100m into their steel plant in Wales due to sterling going down in value. Before brexit they were going to shut their plant. If that is "economic suicide" you can put me down for second servings. Cameron bleated on about brexit meaning war and an emergency budget the week after Brexit. He's been proved a liar. If you bremoaners love the EU so much you should emigrate there.
  4. Yeah, I think you're right. I think the problem the Guardian has is that they do not have the money (staff) to monitor the comments. I also think they don't like comments on certain articles as the articles are torn to shreds by the readers. Before I was banned, by the Guardian, the most "recommends" I ever had was 400 happy days
  5. When my dad done that the garage took the mix and burned it in a heater to heat their workshop.
  6. It's good to know imported logs now cost 23% more I can see Brexit being really good for UK forestry
  7. Perhaps any discussion on the relative costs of wood/ gas or oil heating should include boiler replacement costs? From what I understand a modern gas boiler will last 10 to 20 years. I can't help thinking a decent log stove should easily last 50 years.
  8. An armed man has entered a retirement home for monks in France. At least one dead. Ffs, I hope France isn't in the process of suffering another horrific terrorist attack.
  9. Just because women now work it doesn't mean that household income shoots up. It's likely that by the time the household has to pay for childcare that household disposable income hasn't really went up. It also seems like people fritter more money away nowadays. If you ever go to a council tip it's amazing how much new looking furniture is thrown out.... As another example weddings seem to cost more as people want more things. My mate got married and spent £200 on matching ties for him and his ushers. That's over a days wages for most folks ffs!
  10. I'd imagine that GCHQ would use an automated programme to find suspicious behaviour. Before the Internet there was a list of books that if you borrowed from the library the Intelligence agencies would be informed.... If someone has decided to commit a terrorist attack it's likely they will look at certain websites. Maybe a website on making wills? Maybe a bomb making website? Maybe they have suddenly insured their life?
  11. tbh, if it makes us safer I don't have a problem with the security services looking at our internet history. Let's face it anyone googling "how to make a bomb in your kitchen" and "kill infidels" should be investigated.

    So Fed Up

I think everyone hates their job at times.... Why not look into other careers? Paramedic? Nurse?
  13. Spending 3 months designing road signs. My first job after uni was working for a clothing chain. Sometimes when the clothes came from India they had the wrong material label inside. Our job was to get a label saying "100% polyester" and placing it over the label saying "100% polyamide". On the bride side I can honestly say I've had my hands in 1000 bras in a single day
  14. Does anyone use a dehumidifier in a kiln? I can't help thinking that heating a kiln then venting the humid air out loses a lot of heat.... Why not heat the kiln and have a dehumidifier inside to remove the moisture? A little known fact is that a dehumidifier produces more heat than the electricity put into it.... You should get at least twice the heat from a dehumidifier as the electricity put into it.
  15. So African migrants in Norway are 3 times more likely to commit crime than native Norwegians.... You won't hear that on the BBC... "A 2011 report by Statistics Norway found that immigrants are overrepresented in crime statistics but that there is substantial variation by country of origin.[74] The report furthermore found that "the overrepresentation is substantially reduced when adjusting for population structure – for some groups as much as 45 per cent, but there are also some groups where the overrepresentation still is large."[74] According to the report, the data for 2009 shows that first-generation immigrants from Africa were three times more likely than ethnic Norwegians (or rather individuals who are neither first- nor second-generation immigrants) to be convicted of a felony while Somali immigrants in particular being 4.4 times more likely to be convicted of a felony than an ethnic Norwegian was. Similarly, Iraqis and Pakistanis were found to have rates of conviction for felonies greater than ethnic Norwegians by a factor of 3 and 2.6 respectively. Another finding was that second-generation African and Asian immigrants had a higher rate of convictions for felonies than first-generation immigrants."
  16. The fact remains that many migrant groups commit more crime than native Europeans. I don't like crime and I don't like criminals, that's why i don't want migrants from backgrounds that are more likely to commit crime.. We've all got sisters/ daughters/ mums/ nieces etc. Is anyone really happy about letting in migrants that have a 23 times greater propensity to rape than europeans? I know most migrants won't rape, however that's not much consolation if your daughter has been raped. If we're being intellectually honest we'd admit that some countries are cr4p because of the people and culture in them. Yet somehow the Liberals believe that migrants from these countries magically become "european" when they come to Europe. In Nice someone drove a truck along an esplanade and drove over families because his culture told him that was the correct thing to do. Europeans have got to forget the "all cultures are equal" cr4p that the BBC have been telling us.
  17. The BBC only started talking about Rotherham when it became too big a story to ignore. I know people love slagging off the media etc, however they do an important job in a democracy. It's scary that they ignore stories due to political correctness. I can't help think if the BBC had done their job a lot of kids wouldn't have been raped. I watched a BBC show on migration. They said migration didn't lead to an increase in crime. That's an absolute lie..... I've seen evidence that in Sweden some migrant groups are 23 (twenty three) times more likely to rape than native Swedes...
  18. Which of his opinions do you consider "vile"? He seemed to speak a lot of sense in that interview. Why don't we have a look at the ideology of the BBC? Hundreds of white girls are raped by migrants from a migrant background in places like Rotherham. The BBC response is to ignore it as it is not politically correct. Why don't we look at the German state broadcaster? Hundreds of women sexually assaulted in Cologne on NYE. German police puts out statement saying NYE was "uneventful". State broadcaster tries to hide this story, however story gets out due to social media. Let's think about this, when a couple of yobs abuse a migrant on a train etc the BBC air the mobile phone footage on telly. However when white children are getting raped the BBC are nowhere to be seen. It's the BBC that are vile.
  19. I wish I was closer Why not try the BASC website? Or a shooting forum?
  20. should be an interesting discussion.
  21. why do the western liberals never criticise other countries for treating people like second class citizens? perhaps some of the Liberals here could explain this road sign?
  22. I agree that most Muslims aren't terrorists. However as history has shown it doesn't take many extremists to cause mayhem. I believe in 1930s Germany there were actually very few extreme Nazis - how did Germany end up? The way I see it is that the bulk of Muslim countries aren't nice places to stay. Can anyone name an Islamic country that is politically stable and that respects minority rights? Why should the West risk allowing people in that could destroy our peaceful secular democracy's? The Paris/ Nice attacks are a warning of what the future of Europe will be like if we don't pull our heads out the sand. I think actions speak louder that some twitter statements. Terrorists kill 20 Charlie Hebdo journalists. The Muslim reaction is to protest against Charlie Hebdo.... 800,000 protest against Charlie Hebdo in Chechnya. Alec, why don't you find a photo showing a protest condemning the attacks?
  23. I used to work with a guy that was a bit weird. One day he went to the site toilet and had a dump, he unrolled the toilet paper (never tore any sheets off), wiped his bum then rolled the toilet paper back again for the next user. One day he fell out with someone, he deposited a sh1t in the guys tool bucket.... I worked with someone else that worked in the Carribean. He used to frequent a brothel, one of the girls used to have a party trick where she would pick a coin up from the table with her front bottom. One day he heated the coin with a lighter... You can guess the rest.
  24. Fair enough, it's just when I was a kid I watched programmes on the ancient Egyptians/ Greeks/ Romans/ Vikings etc. It made me realise that they all worshipped different gods. It then made me question why the Christian religion was right and all the others wrong. It would be a right bummer if the ancient religions were right and we are all wrong. Maybe the ancient Egyptians were right and the gods are angry that no one is building pyramids anymore.
  25. I'd imagine over time air leaks into the vaccum
