1. I have a couple of customers who used to use a product called TEXNAP 22 to treat the Cedar cladding on their houses and out buildings. This product has been discontinued and I have found an alternative product, unfortunately this is only available in barrels. Two questions for the Arbtalk community, Is there an alternative for this product that I don't know about that comes in smaller pack sizes ie 25 Ltrs or is there enough demand for it that its worth me buying a barrel or 2 and selling it in smaller amounts? Any help given would be much appreciated Thanks Jon
2. Big thankful to all the traders who put up with my insane ramblings today. I leave sunny Gloucestershire tomorrow a much wiser man with a broader knowledge of chippers and grinders, forwarders and harvesters. Hopefully made some decent contacts. Hope everyone had a good day.
3. Enjoying lovely sunny Gloucestershire. Looking forward to the. ARB show tomorrow.
4. Unlucky, wishing you a speedy recovery.
5. Driving home from work and there was a women sat on the side of the road and she looked in some distress. I drove on but decided to turn round and ask if she needed help. I then found out the reason she was in distress was she was incredibly unfit and had got out of breath walking up the hill and was waiting for a friend to come and pick her up:001_rolleyes:
6. Hi I am staying in Fairford on Thursday and Friday night. Going to the show on Friday, if anyone else is staying there or coming from that direction, wants a lift to the show give me a shout. Jon
7. No Worries Bob, happy chopping:biggrin:
8. Hi Johny, in theory that is based on delivery with our truck. I can do it for £370 + vat delivered on a haulier out of our delivery range.
9. Mineral. I would love for it to be the price of bio, but thats about £360 a barrel. I hoping if I can sell enough of it I can get the price down.
10. Hi Ty, we do a veg based chain oil and a mineral one. Thanks Jon
11. Hi Bob popped you a barrel on a courier today, £240 + vat delivered special offer at the moment. Prices may be going up shortly base oils seem to be on the move
12. As a general rule the semi synthetic and fully synthetic oils are 50:1 and the mineral oil is 25:1. Although that can change depending on the machine and the brand of oil. But if you are using a oil that is the same spec as the Stihl oil then mix it at the same ratio.
13. They don't make barrels that big mate. Thanks anyway
14. I have got a tent. But seeing as I can get the firm to pay for expenses that wouldnt make sense Plus my tent is massive and I am not putting that up by myself
15. Hi Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay close to the ARB show in Cirencester. More than likely the Friday night. Going as a visitor this year, may have a trade stand next. Thanks Jon
16. Not to blow my own trumpet. But we do proper old fashioned super tacky oil. Lots of companies are heading towards 120 c/s, ours is still 150 c/s.
17. Our chain oil is always a bargain Pm me and Ill get you some prices.
18. Hi Quick question about a Jacobsen Turfcat mower. We have a customer who is looking for hydraulic oil for it. The manual says 20w/20 which is an equivalent viscosity of Hyd 68 but a couple of people he has spoken to say Hyd 32. Have you got any ideas as he and myself are now confused. Thanks Jon
19. Bad luck. Nothing is safe these days it seems. We are getting more and more reports of fuel stolen as well. We are lucky in that we share a site with a 24 hour operation so security isn't too bad. Hope you get them back
20. Hope she has a swift and complete recovery. Keep us posted.
21. This is utter twaddle( I would have used harsher language but didnt want to offend). A machine manufacturer cannot force you to use a certain brand of oil to validate their warranty. They can recommend a brand of oil. But if you find another oil with the same spec as the one they recommend then it is fine for the warranty. So when buying a saw or bit of machinery ask the dealer what spec of oil goes in it rather than the brand. Then you will be fine. If anyone wants I can email them the EU law that got passed that oulawed this practice. Hope this is of help Jon
22.
Hi Dan, oil is on its way. Should be with you Thursday. Enjoy
