  1. Problem is how many chainsaw's are there in circulation now without any qualifications and they will last for years ! Just more red tape to up the cost of saws has government will claw money back through ourselves. Ste

  3. Called in on my local Stihl dealer to price a new drive shaft and low and behold they have one in stock collecting dust from a canceled order so i am waiting for a price now They have printed me the parts and assembly pics too and one of the 2 springs have gone AWOL . Ste
  4. After much debate and a post on here for advice/suggestions and thanks for the replies i decided to take the 3 infected limbs off , 2 on the left and one on right . I thought i made a good call has the limbs were a mess and the previous owners had hacked at this poor old Chesnutt . I Did not take limbs right back but too were they were clear/clean but no doubt the whole tree will succumb in time .   5. Was having a cracking day today until the main shaft decided to part company with the engine on my long reach pole pruner which has been until now faultless for 7years old . HL75 Gutted i am has it has loads of £££££££££££££s looking at it . Ste [ATTACH]17 ATTACH]

  7. I am using the top handle Stihl msa160 and hedge cutter using the AP80 battery and the standard charger ,to me they have been a million dollars ! . I have put a pic on the eucalyptus that I took down with the saw ,I was amazed at the performance but whether the plastics live up to daily abuse is questionable? . Ste

  10. Possibly the best bandage and its free is your HAND ! Was told this by a surgeon when I emptied my body of blood in a freak accident on the farm ,natural instinct was too fold flesh back and compress my hand over wound has its seals and moulds too yourself better than a tampax etc. Ste
  11. Totally agree with getting on the ground asap but having some kit with you will help or help others who are injured while someone is scrambling around in van looking for a first aid kit . Ste
  12. Celox and Bandages is all I have in my little red pouch permanently attached too my harness . Girlie plasters etc are in the vans first aid box along with nail clippers . Ste
  13. I swear by the 4mix engines and no you don't a separate can just the same has normal for your 2stroke machines . I have said this before but had no issues in 7years of daily use and STIHL has original spark plug and needs no choke to start most of the time . Its been battered on large estates cutting hawthorn hedges daily and gearbox has been faultless and I have tapped a grease nipple too keep greased regular . Have replaced blades once has I worn original set out . Ste

    Well all i can see is figures ............ top section looks like a EAGLE ,3 rd section looks like someone sitting down and below that resembles the shape of the HONEY MONSTER . 2nd section cant make my mind up . Think i need too lay off the Guinness . Ste:lol:

  17. i am chuffed to pieces with me new wee chipper , no more dragging brash through gates and marking walls etc . It battered this willow today slap bang by the tree and customer wanted chip to try and tidy his garden up. Saved our legs today too and used very little fuel . [ATTACH]176737[/ATTACH] Ste:001_smile:

  19. That's same has most ,on my caravan instructions stipulate that handbrake must be in the vertical position for brakes to work fully .
  20. Yep true ,I gave my licence up last year has I was told exactly the same after being parade in my local rag paper 5years previously for carrying 1 bag of grass cuttings without a license and they go and move the goal posts . Arsehole pen pushers they are . Ste
