  1. As Andy says the 560xp is a cracking saw and can accommodate various size bars. I have had 1 for a couple of months and love it:)
  2. Troll hunter, the worst film I have ever seen, utter toss, the best thing in it was the immaculate mk1 golf. After I watched it I ejected it from the DVD player and threw it in the wood burner!!
  3. That's the thing, anyone know who does it in the northwest?
  4. Cheers, I will try them.
  5. Cool vid. How long did it take?
  6. But what overheads does he have?? Very little I would think, van, tools insurance. The insurance will be nowhere near tree surgeons insurance. Then there is all the saws and chipper, waste carrying licence etc.
  7. Anyone know of a company doing tree spade work? I think that is its name, where they blow compressed air down a lance??
  8. I used to have one, they are ok. I prefer my rayco rg 13 mk II though, the cartons handle bars were not adjustable and I didn't think it was as well made as the rayco.
  9. Have you tried David Norman? He usually has plenty for sale.
  10. I love mine, but I really love my 346 xp still.
  11. Very, maybe, 70-80 quid with no experience if your lucky. Good luck!! You will need it mate as its a very, very cut throat industry.
  12. I've cut and split sycamore in June, left in the sun for 2 week and it's been 20%, that's when the sun has been beating down on it for that time.

    Tarp makers

Does anyone know any tarp makers please?
  15. I think it cancels it out he a log man and fixes gennies and your a gennie man that sells logs:) my point was that where I live people think Ahh selling logs is easy money, they don't invest in kit or timber and get a few trees off a farmer or something, I was having a bad week at that point mate.
  16. It's a right nightmare:)
  17. I bought some arbortec glove and they had there first test today, they are now in the shed where they will be staying! Not impressed. The fingers are poor and the stitching in the fingers is poor IMO.
  18. I stopped using Oregon as they seemed to be crap nowadays, I use vallorobe?? Or whatever they are called, blue box, I got a nice kit off clarks.
  19. There is only protection in the back of the left glove not the fingers isn't there?
  20. I paid £40 per tonne last march for 26 tonne, it cost me £13 + vat for haulage. So that's just over £55 a tonne in my yard, then it needs processing into logs and storing for a year, to process the lot may take me a week with my processor.
  21. Jonsies website is more addictive than crack!!
  22. Tell me about it, I have still got 3 grands worth sat there and that's what it cost me!!
  23. I know a contractor who does stuff for bt, pruning and clearing from poles and taking old poles down.
  24. Fair enough mate, I was just having a rant:) all the best.
