  1. Good to see this thread making people feel they can't comment on posts without being made to feel like the bad guy. What's the point of asking questions and contributing to posts if it doesn't fit with people's opinions?? Isn't that the point of a forum? To be able to comment on things.
  2. No one on here is bullying him, no one has slagged Connor off, people are merely voicing opinions, which they have done on quite a few threads on arbtalk about employees.
  3. I think we think we have got to know Connor through reading this thread in the past and seeing him progress with the bang tidy team, I don't think anyone has been debating him in a bad way just discussing what we have read on here. Surely if something is put on a forum its open for discusion? I think Chris has been hurt by this and has aired his feelings as maybe he has nobody to talk to at home. I thought we were a community that help each other?
  4. As I've said before my local dealer is 13 miles away so a 26 mile and 1 hour journey, and hats only if they have it in stock. I buy 2t and 4t direct from you and delivery is £20 that's cheaper than If I have to take an hour off work to go and get it off my dealer of they have it. My dealer in my town won't stock it as you told him he has to buy a pallet which he thinks won't sell. I need to keep getting it direct from you and if you stop that then I'm screwed!
  5. Mmmm, has someone turned his head? Really sounds weird. He has been on here saying how much he loves it and the pictures say loads. Have a chat with him.
  6. Where the hell is 1.5 hours travel from u mate?
  7. How far away does he live Chris? Is that really the reason do you think? It was only last week he was on saying how much he likes it? Something seems a bit suss.
  8. Support your local dealer for a purchase like that, you can't blame him for not wanting to help out with warranty if you bought somewhere else.
  9. I used to have Eltens, worst boots ever, didn't last and we're uncomfortable, air streams are ace, they can be sloppy on a sloppy surface but are any boots good on cobbles? http://www.pmhtreesurgeons.com
  10. God, I've not seen one of those in time!!
  11. Hop you charged him double.
  12. Ahh, I know the adjuster you mean, I will check it out. Thanks for all the replys guys.
  13. I changed the whole unit, valve and lever, I broke the old valve block and lever.
  14. No mate, sorry. Container had a false floor, the floor is full of holes, the heat is blown in and comes through the floor and rises through all the logs and vents out the top drying logs on the way, awesome!
  15. Err it was at a local biomass company mate. They are drying logs for me so went to have a look. Its a very impressive set up.
  16. I have just seen a force dryer in operation, its great, drys 32 cube in a couple of weeks by forcing hot air through like a hair dryer.
  17. I have a log splitter on my tractor and when I use it it knocks off the hydraulic supply so I have to engage it again?? Any ideas? It's only started since I put a new operating lever on the splitter, the valve thing?? Thanks.
  18. Is that green thing a MK1 Escort or a Vauxhall Chevette?

    House names

There is a house In Bowness in the Lake District called Dick Intake, I always chuckle every time I go past. I looked at a job there once and when I asked the address I laughed down the phone, I never did get the job:)
  20. I had an RG 13 mk2 for 3 years, served me well, I had a multi tip cutter fitted and it was great BUT it was hard work, you had to push it about, so getting up a slope was hard graft and that's before you started grinding. Then the grinding was hard work as you are moving it side to side and the small wheels dig into the ground, big stumps are harder graft and not worth it IMO. I sold it and got a Bandit HB20, brilliant machine. Worth the extra as you won't need to change. You can do any size stump with ease. You can get it on finance for about £180 a month which is worth every penny. I now don't look at a stump and think "oh heck, this is gonna hurt"
  21. Check the aspen thread. I use it and have done for 3 years now. In brief, your saws don't stink the work site out and make you feel sick, no one can mix fuel wrong, it's not bad for you like normal fuel, it can last for 7 years on your shelf, It won't rot your plastic petrol pipe or diaphragm.

    Chas help

Is it worth being CHAS? I am getting more commercial work, would it be worth it?
  23. There is no place on arbtalk for plonkers talking rubbish about people on here, there are 2 sides to every story and it just seems a bit of sour grapes towards Chris doing well. I have had it in the past, not on the forum but people talking crap behind my back. Sod em. I've never met Chris but from having a crack on here and reading his thread he seems like a decent bloke just trying to make a do and have a good company, as we all strive for.
  24. Spot on Jon.
  25. Sounds like someone is a bit bitter towards Chris, he maybe ain't responding because he does not want a slanging match on a public forum. And quite rightly so. This ain't the place for that.
