  10. Wondering if before dumpy bags or metricfication did the UK used to use some imperial firewood measurement like the do in the US with cords?
  11. Nice would be a shame if all the effort was only to grow lawn grass faster, that then it just needed mowing more often but makes more sense to improve it for grazing. Guessing a max of 2-3 sheep on that area?
  12. Where does it say this tool needs a special grade of makita chain oil.? Im not disputing a more runny oil may be better suited but can't find any makita reference to it?
  13. I assume the chain is oiling ok you never confirmed? Its very easy to tell (as already mentioned) it should be flicking oil from end of bar. A piece of cardboard should get a line of oil splatter after a few secs of revving. Both veg oil and minieral chain oil can gum up the oil pump sometimes esp if the chainsaw has being sat un- used for awhile.
  14. How bout go full vicent van gogh on it? Pollard Birches Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) Fungi & bugs need a home 2 - & by the look of the garden not likely to fall over on anyone standing below.

  17. From same BBC article^ 23 billion £ was the increase in payments to sevice the debt not total payments. Im not sure how a much debt is sustainable but it doesn't seem sensible. Might want to try avoid it going to 300% hence lack of money as not wanting to borrow more for large projects?
  18. But UK is in a large debt and payments have increased Cost of national debt hits 20-year high WWW.BBC.CO.UK The rise in the cost of borrowing comes as chancellor, Jeremy Hunt prepares for the autumn statement.

  20. Yeah very expensive . Timber framed larch or oak might be cheaper?
  21. Dunno hard for UK people to know what the climate/weather/rainfall is atm in USA TN & your soil type. So it maybe needs zero watering anymore or plenty. Here atm in UK its really wet atm many young trees are probably suffering for waterlogging on compacted clay soils. Best way is just look at the soil dig a a little hole then pick some up its fairly easily to tell if its dry or wet enough. This kind of thing: Simple Ways of Checking for Soil Moisture ECOGARDENER.COM Checking soil moisture is essential to plant growth. Here are different ways to keep your soil moist and why it’s important
  22. Almost looks like a camellia from first 2 pics but im guessing eleagnus from last pic silver underside to leaves? Also is it maybe an old estate wood with some exotic shrub species planted for pheasant cover etc?
