  1. Have you made anything from the pear yet? I've got a few boards left bit they have split a little I've still got side largish chunks of branch wood aswel the local turners won't pay anything at all for it so unless someone comes up and offers me more than firewood value is going in dumpy bags I'm afraid. I would even be happy to let a small amount go in exchange for something made from it
  2. Bore and release in that situation and just tickle the saw threw the last bit of the city rather than the traditional remove the saw and cut from behind. Works wonders in those situations
  3. funny you mention your age and occupation i was 23 and working in a Tesco warehouse absolutely hating every minute of it by the age of 24 i had made up my mind to leave and go back to college and study horticulture. for the 6 months before i left the thought of leaving a secure job to chase a dream scared the bejesus out of me. im coming up 28 now and have been self employed since leaving college and have never been happier

  20. its not the soil you want sampling really as most weedkillers available to the public tend to be based around glyphosate witch becomes inert once in contact with the soil whilst there will be tests that could find traces of weedkiller in plants/soil there isnt a company or organisation that offers it
