  1. Hi yes 9mm garden guns are good to use as a way of teaching safty and such like and thats about the going rate. Just check that the 410 dont miss fire and the main botl holding the stock to the action is strong. Good look:001_smile:
  2. I had this problem the other day a good customers of my called and said a tree had come down in the wind blocking his access to his stables.... I have gotta nip over first thing in the morning to take a look.
  3. Mate you wanna look for a SIP or sealy 150-200 amp singel phase mig and use arg sheald gas with 0.8 or 1.0 wire you'll get a clean tight weld on 0.4 mild steel and get good penetration on bigger. Don't bother with an ark welder they are good but there's a time and place. Don't bother with that fluxed wire aether it just makes a mess and although it sound good (gasless) the wild isn't brill. If your ever my way pop in and I'll do you a demo.
  4. Got my Christmas Doo tonight going for a meal at a golf club house. Gotta wear a tux who's in the same possession ???
  5. Serious pice of kit...
  6. If it's just for weekend work I would look at renting one with an op the only way your going to get a good second hand chipper is if you have go 6-7k knocking around. Sorry to sound abit blunt but that's what I'd do. Hope you take what I'm saying on bored.
  7. I had jap stuff then went on to a LR defender 90 is was a grate pice of kit off road but I was constantly repairing it I don't know whether it was an older vehicle (1994) 200tdi or not. Subsequently back with the jap stuff and more than happy. my advice would be to make sure the bulk head and rear outriggers are solid and good look.
  8. I recon 23m.:001_smile:
  9. Cheers for the offer but its a jenson.
  10. I was looking at it last night and tbf that littel starter is pulling a heavy load not only has it got the Diesel engine to turn it's got the fly wheel to turn to. I'd say its 45 quid we'll spent and I'm even wounding wheather it's worth doing evry say 8yrs or so as a mantinance thing.
  11. It's the future. He basically said if you buy a new one you will just get a old one that's had a recon now I understand why they want your old one so badly
  12. Whatever the old boy has done to the starter I'm now back up and running. O and only just noticed, title is ment to say Misson aborted bloody predictive text.
  13. HaHa Don't worry I tried that old chestnut. lol
  14. Went to my chipper this morning to find it won't start.. Dam.. All its doing when you turn the key, you just hear a click coming from what I am assuming is the gear clicking on th the fly weel but thats it. So firs things first I check the battery by hooking it up to my truck with the jump leads still the same click.. By this point my blood is starting to boil. .So right what's next quickly ring round for a new starter up to yet best quote £185 and not be with me till Tuesday next week... What next. Called my Dad who told me about an old boy that recons them on an industrial estate near by so I niped down to see him with the starter and he says it's looking like the contact's have gone..... £45 And come back in a hour and it will be as goid as new hence the reson I'm typing this rarther long post. Wish me look.
  15. Mate as long as its been looked after 2000 hr should be nothing.
  16. As I've put on befor i got my jenson from mason woodchippers and I thought they were bang on and if I was to ring them now I know they would be willing to help. There is a auction on in York every month and I've seen 190s there ? Price but have a look on there website yorkauctincenter. I think they have a list of things booked in for next sale. I'd only advice this if you know what your looking at mind you as I don't think there's no comeback.
  17. Yer fell for it, 1500 quid down the pan....... North saying"it boils my piss". Best thing about it I sent my money by bank transfer to a Barclays Bank account and they would not have note to do with it..... Bank drafts are as good as cash.
  18. It's funny you should put thin on as i fell victim of an ebay scam on a timberwolf 150 a few month ago 1500 quid down the pan......
  19. Well my l200 has been in the family from new and to a full tank of fuel I get 350 to 450 miles and at today's prices it costs about 78 quid to fill, that's obviously towing a chipper and chip. I keep thinking shall I get a transit tipper or similar as my old pick up is starting to look a littel tired but carnt bring my self to it. Lol
  20. I have got a 2000 l200 singel cab carnt fault it al all, not to bad mpg good off road only thing that can be a pain is the turning circle is a littel tight. Agree with what they are saying about storage but I've always got around it.
  21. I find nearly all my customers saying a want it reducing in size and making round so I'm constantly trying to do that. But I do think the rustic look on bigger trees can sometimes look cool. Just do as they ask and you'll be fine.
  22. I'm quite often walking the dog round there and would be more than happy yo help catch the scumbags. I enjoy little jobs like that. Hooohaaaa
  23. Hi, Recently brought a new chipper I brought it from mason wood chippers after going to view about 6 private ones. Only trouble is you will hafto pay vat and if you carnt claim it back it's a heavy extra. felt that I had payed slightly over the ods but I've used it for about 3 month and not had one problem with it tuch wood. My advice it go to a good dealer and pay that bit more.
  24. Hi new to forum just saying I. Dan:001_smile:
