    Cheers Spud. I'm currently in the process of digging the bank out on the Right hand side of the property to take the jbc off the front and possibly one van. I haven't got any advertisement signs up and the vans only have a small sticker on them. When I called to book the appointment the guy stated that he could not give any details about who has made the complaint but he might be able to give me a couple of useful pointers.... lol.

    Thanks for the in put Men, i have made an appt for next week for them to visit, i will carry on as normal insted of hiding everything and standing there saying " look nothing is kept here" and see how we go. All the trucks and jcb are fully road legal and ligit so i could give them the option of seeing a clear drive however park on the road. I am hoping not to go down that route! We do quite alot of work for our local council and i do not intend on piss them off... I will keep you updated mid week.. You never know they might do a full review in to out council tax band and save us a few quid lol...

    Yes but only for 10 min in a morning and then 10 min at tea time, we do the saws and chipper up at the yard and the handler prob goes out two times a week..

    Hopfully this is the case. The main aim of the post was to see if anyone has been in a simlor situation and if there was anything i needed to say of have in place prior to the visit.

    I would love to however it would not be safe, i do live in a fair size property and along side a fairly busy road i will take a pic later when i am back.. I get on with all my neighbours so i think the complaint may have come from alother source, most of the local tree lads run pritty much the same round here so i dont think they will have a case. As for the lads parking cars only 2 of them out of 5 drive and they park around the corner. I am in the pocess of digging a bank out at the side of my house on my property to park the jcb this will kind of hide it..

    Got the council on my back as they have received a complaint regarding a unauthorised change of use - Business from home and they need to come out to visit to determine whether i am in breach of planning. Has anyone been in a simlor situation? I just park 2 vans and a loadall on the drive and keep abit of kit in the garage most of my bigger kit is in a lock up, no wase comes back as i have a yard. What are they likely to ask? Surely every self employed plumber, sparkey ect ect run the same. Any help would be much appreciated? Regards Dan

    Cheers Spud! i havent even looked in to timing it back up yet i will cross that bridge when i come to it.. I am beginning to think that the crank oil seales may have been the start if the problem however carnt be sure. When i stripped the engine it all had plenty of oil and i only use husky HP and in the past few years its probbally only the 2nd engine thats gone.. Oh well.. Hoping the parts come today so i can start to put it all back together... Whats crack with the £25 piston?

    just an update men.. I have orderd the bush from a firm called the bearingboys they did not have the exsact size however at 97p i have orderded 4 difrent ones hoping one will be perfect. I have sent for one of them 25 quid piston kits from ebay and a 8 quid seal kit from L&S as for the flywheel the woodruff key is cast in to it i will just do what spud ses for the moment a new one is £50. If i wanted to i could swap the bearing bush for a needle roller they had some the right size it got me thinking?? lol As soon as all the bits come i will be sure to update ohh and i will order another back pack just looking at stihl/husky.. Husky 2year sthil 1...

    Are you just putting a new engine in? if so do L&S sell them? Out of all the tools i use the blower was the las thing i though would go...lol

    Yer spud you would normally have a needle bearing but this has a bush ? why maybe as its 4mix..?? Spoken to my local dealer and they are saying you need to buy the full new crank and con rod its £280 then £90 for the piston and £30 for the seals and other bits a new machine is £460... The only bit that failed was the top end bearing and the piston was slightley damaged. Looks like i will hafto keep an eye out on ebay..

    only problem is it slplit when i pressed it out and i binned it... Doh.. i could take the size of the pin and the size of the hole in the crank and work it out i suppose?

    My BR600 back pack blower nipped up yesterday, i have stripped it and found the problem to be top end bearing failure. The problem i have is ordering the parts as theres a couple that do not show on stihls parts diagram the two i am strugling with are the woodruff key for the flywheel and the con rod top bearing its a small ? fossy bronze bush that goes in the top of the con rod. Can anyone help me??
