  4. Hey Al, Yeah I think I'm going to have a go at the weekend on a bit of a rec climb to get used to it! I've had a read through the thread and I think I get it abit! I've been ddrt for six years though so I suppose it'll be abit of a learning curve! I will the new stuff tether fit in a zk1 wrench! Ill probs make something up for now though anyway!   13. The le chameau boots are great! One of my mates has a pair of damned boots from the states and reckons they're the best he's had! Not sure if they're available over here though!
  14. Haha you'd have been fine there, I had a pontoon,3 guys with throw lines,2ropes and a life jacket! All this and they still made me come back to the bank before the crane could move the pick!! H&S these day eh

  18. Couple of pics from ealier in the week! Had to pull this willow out of the river Mersey! It was abit of a weird and job and a bit of. Nightmare for the guys running site! I had a bout ten people watching and a mobile pontoon I case I fell in! Lol. Anyhow it came out in about four with an 80 tonner! Pics arnt great but thought they might be interesting!
  19. We've just had some knotweed guys in at work!! They said it has to be sealed up and taken to a waste facility! He said it can't be burned there though! Not sure if you can doit yourself though!
  20. I've got a Ryobi ONE impact driver it's pretty :thumbup:good, not overly dear either
  21. What's the difference really once you've cut a tree down if your not using it for somthing else (firewood,carving etc) it's waste wood!! We've just taken a lot of perfectly good trees out of a park to make way for a flood defence and its all gone to wood fuel!! And most of it went through a whole tree chipper, of the situation suits it's the best thing for te job! For biofuel or site clearance type work they're bob on!!

  23. One of my friends burnt his and his neighbours house down by shutting his fire down the other week! Set of in the chimney and then went right through both houses! He's in a right mess now. But he'd fitted it himself and I don't think it was really meant fir it! But to rub salt in the wound his insurance won't pay because he didn't have a HEATAS cert for it! The neighbour wants £25000 of him for the damage
