  1. Looks like it could be a suckered or self set. Wouldn't necessarily be a graft line if it was budded. Don't think it is crab. If my uncle was still with us , he would know.
  2. Yes ! I drop oil all over the place sometimes , I have one waterproof boot because of it. I don't mind them really.
  3. I find if they leak it's normally user error .
  4. I must admit that behind my calm exterior is a little boy excited to see what she does..
  5. There was and old boy on Arbtalk Who climbed up a tree with a fork. He fell on his nose and swallowed his toes And now only hears harps talk.
  6. Breaking news.... The deceased has been identified as Arti. Cause of death....?
  7. We have been potting ! (Trees.I don't indulge.)
  8. Gruesome scenes at work today. Seven red beet were held hostage and one was slaughtered and chopped to death. A ransom of 1000 LB in mash was demanded. It is thought the radishal group Saladin Distress are behind the asalt .
  9. 15 cube /80 litres diesel. It is at its least efficient at the moment. I will try and reconfigure during the summer and make it better
  10. That could mean either of you ,depending on punctuation!
  11. I reckon a cube would last five days but you can burn sticks and sawdust
  12. Less than that. Have not measured it but it depends what you burn and how open you have it. It will do 45 C easily but that changes as it is filled up or depletes. Once the wood is warmed through it will hold good temperature.
  13. 12 hour burn comfortably , depending on what you burn. Willow I fill morning noon and night but it would go 12 hours . Just a matter of getting your fuel organised. Sawdust burns well too. Chips would also go .I suspect. Will take a picture
  14. Thank you for your replies. To be honest I did think long and hard before doing it and there are thermal blocks around the stove , it is away from the walls and the space heater also has a clear run and a corridor to blow through between the wood . The biggest danger is actually from sawdust/ wood dust on the stove , that will ignite. Ideally the stove needs to be without the kiln to allow higher temperatures and free up more space. I was also going to get a jet fan for it..
  15. Perhaps the space heater is diesel . I don't remember saying that <25%was dry but having said that , I think it is plenty dry enough. It burns fast enough and easily enough. I do accept that fibreglass is not the material to have a stove in and I shall move it out of there..point taken.
  16. Just be aware that fibreglass likes burning . Your stove would be better off in its own little insulated metal shed or old prefab concrete garage and the air wafted or blown in to the kiln. Mine is in the kiln so it takes up room and has to be watched . It is easy to let the temperatur soar with it so be careful.
  17. Moisture readings taken at core. Space heater has a fan plus a shop floor fan . Tha fan only drew warm air to the floor to even the temperature. Floor temperature was 45°C. The whole lot cost about £1200.
  18. People who take rubbish wood are unlikely to pay for good stuff I would have thought.
