  10. All in,probably 5 days including assembling /dismantling scaffold, but I'd of been done sooner if I wasn't sharpening chains all the time, and using a hammer n chisel. Check out this lot, and this is about a third of what I dug out:
  11. Latest and biggest carve I've done.
  12. Very nice mate. Like the colours. Doin a wall hanging 1 at the mo, will post pics when I'm done.
  13. Gotta say my 181 has never missed a beat and performs really well with 12" standard bar for blocking out smaller carves and general dog work. Good saw. Again never tried the echo. Got an echo cs270 but that's small and just fer detailing, also a good'un.
  14. Not keen on painting wood either but this piece definitely warrants and benefits from it. Love it! Brill!
  15. A year in, that's great mate. Looks like you've got a distinctive style already.
  16. Right! Been a long time comin( work gets in the way ) but finally suss'd out and put up a scaffold, a farmer mate had these old 10ft steel scaffold frames lying about which made life a hell of a lot easier. Stakes in the ground on the corners to level up. Sorted. Just got to carve it now. Gonna start next Tuesday, excited and shittin' it. Biggest thing I've ever done.
  17. I've got a WORX JAWHORSE, great bit of kit fer smaller cavings.
  18. Cool. Nice work.

  22. Awesome and disturbing! Reminds of the artwork of the guy who created alien/aliens from the films of same name.Geiger or something. Anyway, brilliant- concept and execution. Congrats.

  25. I've got a similar issue mate, got a carve to do,it's about 11ft, leaning, and the grounds all over the shop. Still racking ma brains. Got loads of builders trestles but wouldn't be happy on them, a pain to move up and down, bit wobbly, no handrail. Keep us posted on your set-up or any bright ideas, I'll do likewise, cheers.
