Fair enough, always worth asking 🙂. You'd be surprised at the but the engine runs but you've not used it in anger to know if everything else works, but it shows the pumps working etc. -

Valtra oil filter ?, had it once where a filter was fitted to a hydraulic power pack pump that was the smaller micron size. Thinking cleaner must be better, for it to build up back pressure and turn filter into component parts. Personally I'd start at a new filter just incase it's liberated the swarf following the rebuild, then cut the old one apart to see what's inside it. -

Guessing that's pre 2003 on Stihl ?, that's about the oldest I've used and kept running including changing clutch springs with screwdriver and needle nose pliers.

One would also assume the needle cage bearing are made of glass fibre not just for strength but effectively a glass bearing surfaces against the stainless needles. They do make glass bearings for that reason, no lube ever required, usually the cage fails before the glass beads.

My musings make sense, you on the other hand just whine incessantly with TDS offering no solutions.
