  1. Or just rip it out and fit a newer engine for about £400.
  2. Aren't they gearbox/belt driven to the hydraulic pump ?.
  3. Is that a "No" you'll never be satisfied?. I'm not going into scriptwriting, granted Russell T Davies does set a very low bar from what I've read of his recent writings.
  4. Actually that's where you are wrong, you know what the statue of liberty is built above and on an island for steamships to dock ?. All immigrants were checked, documented and they did actually turn some back. As they also checked for typhus and other diseases. You didn't just walk through the border and do as you pleased undocumented.
  5. He could have given everyone a unicorn and you wouldn't be happy, but stopping immigrants was a big plus almost overnight when you decide to police a border and deport and not give reach arounds. Same question what's two tier done that's any good, or Trudie and his new banker lackey or the bible thumper Aussie?. You're all far too idealistic to actually want anything to happen, you just want no change. No improvement and a world that probably makes Logan's run look tame, probably with more gulags for wrong think and hurty feeling none crimes.
  6. Upto you, like most things it's either mechanical or electrical. It's been a while since I played with a v twin, vague memories of it just being a 12v wire from the solenoid to the starter. You can take it off and fire it up gingerly to see if it's worn/corroded or just lazy.
  7. Its a car battery for a 2 litre engine Vs a 16hp 500cc, so more than enough!.
  8. Problem is, you trump hating types wouldn't even have been happy if car crash Kamala had won. You all prattle on how this is bad, that is bad, but you'll never be appeased/happy as you seem to all actively want a world order of technocrats where the "betters" tell the huddled freezing masses to shut up, eat coal or cake.
  9. It's a lawn mower, not a 4 litre Perkins!. But when it's cold disconnect the negative connection to stop battery drain. The other simple parts is the solenoid, they do fail as they are a DC contactor that arc's every time it's cycled so wear out by burning away the metal contacts. They are cheap to replace but to test, short the terminals and if it fires up you know what it is. Plus redo the clutch, with brake cleaner. WD-40 will just attract dust and become a cutting compound and gum things up.
  10. A car battery is 12v, so a duff battery on the mower that's sat for months without a balance charger sounds like it was the reason if your car started it. And no a starter motor doesn't boost the battery voltage, 12v=12v just lots and lots of pixies. From memory my tractor takes 3.4kw 12v so like 300A which is CCS (Cold Cranking Amps), also why cold weather beats the hell out of batteries.
  11. You're the one making the stink about trump. Air force one isn't one btw, it's a fleet that's rotated and only becomes air force one when the sitting president is onboard. No president and it's just a more deluxe aircraft with a few extra security countermeasures. I was more highlighting your addiction to calling a president a rapist, which is what your old boss did to her old boss whilst being so hidden in the closet it's an open lesbe avenue secret.
  12. Don't hear you biatching about the motorhome your old boss Nicola bought or the fakery marriage, the salmond court case etc. I'd trust trump over Bernie, hell I'd trust the calamity combo of kid hair sniffing Biden & Kamala over Bernie.
  13. Ah the cult of Bernie and his investments/Ponzi advice. The only difference between him and Scientology is one is tax exempt. One atleast came up with a bit of watchable science fiction beforehand. No doubt you'll be wanting us all to listen intently to blue screen of death bill gates next?.
  14. And liable to absolutely knacker the loader as they're designed to lift not shift side to side under load and stop it twisting. I'm sure they do a three point version that's like a post hole borer.
  15. Only 7M, he probably classed that as flying economy with the plebs!.
  16. I'd be more worried about what they're going to build next than the state of the tree. Developers don't just randomly leave 20ft of perfectly flat ground for nothing, guessing access road for phase 2 considering there's no garden gate and the panels are attached from the outside.
  17. Just turns a 100l theft at 63p into a few grand of pain. I even leave the keys in mine when it's in the shed, rather they steal the whole thing unmolested and recovered possibly still usable.
  18. That's not the only part of the AV system but the part you pictured usually sits central in the hole and moves when you're really leaning into a cut. I've had to replace the one on the handle in the past Stihl MS 261 Chainsaw (MS261 C) Parts Diagram, AV system WWW.DIYSPAREPARTS.COM
  19. Looks fine
  20. It's a grey area, you can argue both sides of the argument. Realistically, providing your not taking the Mick at all hours of the day and maybe using an electric saw you will probably stay under the radar.
  21. Always used 8mm soft rope, seen a few people use rubber/silicone fuel hose. But yeah, turn it over very slowly and back it up and add more if necessary.
  22. What do you consider a medium sized tractor, as a flail of any size is around 15hp per foot preferably more if the ground isn't a bowling green.
  23. From memory you have to stamp the metal data plate, a sticker is removable. Maybe get a spare data plate/duplicate for when or if you sell it.
  24. And drainage/opening up the tree lines. Soft rush and mares tail is a big indicator of it being waterlogged.
  25. I wonder whatever happened to Remploy. Okay they were disabled but similar principle of taking unemployed people and giving them training, purpose and a way of earning a wage. Granted, all these hotel room visitors could earn their citizenship in some weird totalitarian style sweatshop/foreign legion style arrangement. Passport and a British sounding name after 5 years servitude.
