They aren't designed to be a poncy room feature, they're designed to burn hot and hard and store the heating efficiently out of sight. That's partly why back boilers were stopped, it can't burn clean just ticking along slowly.

Or just build a boiler room for a eco Angus 18/25kw and relax with 90% efficiency instead of it mostly being wasted.

And what do you think happens to all this treated timber once the skip is collected?. As usual it's how it's burnt, providing you've a modern stove and not some coal burner from the 40s.

Right, so in your utopia we stopped using plastic tomorrow morning 9am. What do we do with it all, don't you dare say recycle as that's just fluffy language. Dig up all the waste dumps and incinerate, as that plastic takes what a million years to just turn into yet more micro plastic and chemical wastes!.

I'd take the ferry personally, whilst customs are really arsey sending things out I bet they'll be a bit more forgiving the other way providing you have receipts etc. And a eori wouldn't be a bad idea.

As has been discussed, the box of tricks takes a feed from the alternator to know it's speed probably by sensing the alternator amperage. Probably best checking for loose connections, but if the chipper is charging the battery the stress control box would be my initial guess and or the feed switches and emergency stops. Granted, last Kubota one I repaired had a black sensor next to the flywheel on the starter side of the engine and used SP4 shown in the diagrams.

Sounds like they need storing with a bit of motor oil poured into the cylinder and cycled a couple of times. I'm guessing the cylinder rings have rusted as everything else should be aluminium alloys.

If the council have said they are unsafe, they'll be a official letter. So wouldn't it be sensible to speak directly with the tree officer as they would be the one also granting you or even their own tree team permission ?

I've no idea what you're trying to explain, as that picture is just a standard hydraulic valve setup. To make splitting quicker you just auto return the ram and touch the lever at the right spot, you could just bolt something onto the I beam to act as a stop if you're only doing 10". Providing it is strongly attached it'll trigger the relief valve and job done.

Are the plugs the metal or plastic type ?. Might be worth buying the plastic type with the screw type gland, plus use a cable tie on the inside cable as a belt and braces. Presumably it has a electric fuel pump, that would be my first guess other than the usual dirty filters, rubber hoses leaking or blocked.

Never heard of them, but sub 12 I'd stick to air arms pellets as they're available practically anywhere and were always consistent and cheap. Most pellets are made in just 2-3 factories, H&N were making Bisley and a few others brands when you peeled the barcode label off the back.
