  1. He probably thought it was still pre American civil war. Plus wasn't Kamala promising legal weed for all those black folk?
  2. What's the obsession with making life and tax EVEN more complicated?. You pay for fuel and that's kinda done with for petrol and diesel. These shenanigans should only apply to EVs. Mrs miggins who does no miles except the supermarket gets to keep her 1litre and needs to pay no more
  3. Leave road tax and fuel alone. All EVs at service/mot or over the air like a smart meter pay say half what they would from the equivalent petrol or diesel. Plus get ready, brace brace brace touch you're toes as you know what's coming.
  4. You're just making it a Gordon brown style system. How many pages is the tax advise something like 1200 pages and was before Gordon like 600. You make a system simple, so everyone pays equally to what they earn. That way we all know the score instead of CEOs paying less tax than the cleaners.
  5. I've driven a few fully recyclable battery vehicles in my time, lead acid forklifts and milk floats, which are pretty much fully recyclable almost limitless!. This new lipo types are not, regardless of the chemistry and that's long before you get to the rare earth metals in the motors.
  6. Me thinks it's an advert for not giving the National Trust a penny. We spent 300k on one solitary oak tree, but we've a forest of the buggers out the back.
  7. I thought you were the bus driver?.
  8. My heritage has zero impact and I'm not ashamed to like the union flag, I won't be exchanging it for the horrible EU abomination. I'll get my shot glass or will Mr Creosote need a large bucket for your many tears next week ?.
  9. Maybe if the Donald wins we could get all the lefty's to cry into the grand canyon. Surely there are enough of them to atleast dampen the parched soil ?.
  10. And how much is a new one?
  11. Half a hectare is just over an acre, goats would be better as they'll eat everything including anything invasive.
  12. Bingo, my thoughts exactly. I've trees older and larger in fields with livestock, pragmatic is the key. If something falls off you tidy it up but you don't start messing and calling in specialists to mess with the roots.
  13. Low tech, get a few guys to lift it up whilst you press the up button. Once up made sure it's chocked!. The pump on most doesn't run when coming down, it's just opens the solenoid valve and lets it's flow under gravity back into the tank.
  14. If the trucks running and it's connected directly to the battery then it shouldn't have a problem providing the pump is running. It could be the hydraulic cylinder seals I guess, but I'm sure the hydraulic guys could test all that for you for next to nothing. Is there a manual pump ?
  15. Pump would be my first guess, probably worn out the internal seal as it's probably gravity down. Don't think I've seen one with a double acting setups connected.
  16. Plus the almost inevitable fire before or during the planning application for 500 homes. We have it around these fireproof mills, they were built Fireproof. Yet mysteriously have a fire and need to be knocked down as they're unsafe!.
  17. Yeap, the council love to green light such things because it's more council tax. Whilst making simple rebuilds almost impossible due to paperwork and environmental bs. I don't want to sound like a green belt is sacred, but sympathetic rebuild keeping the character. Whilst letting places like the old industrial site be more high density.
  18. Just leave it be and that includes the daft idea of fencing it off or getting a consultant. You can't manage and control anything that old or large, it'll probably outlive you without even a second thought.
  19. Zero, you just continue to get more urban sprawl. Then you get the oh that's not too bad, until say 5-10 years when the council goes well let's just connect the green dots with more houses.
  20. Jebus, you want politicians to be poster boys for the yoof. Old Castro's son Free gear Kier Dreary Drakford Macron the granny stealer Horse teeth now dame horse teeth Albo the bible basher Shirt off Putin Erm, maybe rethink that?
  21. So S crap ?.
  22. Think it's because it's bitumen based and moulds to the shape. The old asbestos also moulded to shape over years, the new cement stuff won't. But you do need a good amount of almost perfectly level support or it just cracks.
  23. It'll never EVER be free, blame EVs for driving around scott free for years. Reality is commercial pays very little VED, as they use lots of fuel. HGV are an example, cheap tax but loads of fuel so swings and roundabouts. It's just a rinse and repeat of the diesel thing switched to EV. Oh we made them change and they're using less petrol and not as much diesel, now it's cheaper electric. You get the idea.
  24. And you accuse the normal thinking types that prefer Donald over Kamala of being conspiracy theory types. Pot kettle anyone
  25. You could probably pose the exact same question to those who voted for the war criminal, sleeping with Murdochs wife etc Tony Blair.
