  1. Just shoot the bloody things and plant native. Is a cart backwards argument to not plant native because of a non native pest.
  2. Just change the sprocket, had the same issue on a mates top handle MS201T I got asked to repair the other week. Similar worn out sprocket, fitted new sprocket, needle bearing and clutch springs as one had snapped. Almost like a new saw for about £50 including new AV bushings. Plus that's a husqvarna style outbound clutch, you can't use a spacer as it drives the oil pump via the ends of the teeth.
  3. I was going to try to describe it like a bike derailleur. It needs to be able to move smoothly around the sprocket under load, a groove can cause it to strain the chain, like being in high gear going up a hill.
  4. That sprocket is fit for the bin, anything more than a light indentation and it needs replacing.
  5. Farmi Forest 260 PTO Driven Wood Chipper | R.D Agri WWW.RDAGRI.CO.UK Farmi Forest 260 Wood Chipper Three Point Linkage PTO Driven Chip up to 8 inch Advanced 3 step Process Uniformed chip...
  6. If the Kubota engine is anything like the forklift ones, the fuel filter is just a tiny type without a water drain. Probably best to just keep going until the tanks empty as it'll recirculate or dump the lot and change filter think mine was like £7 from a car spares shop as they're the same as those on Hyundai.
  7. I've always wondered how they keep the dealership so clean, maybe the pre delivery inspection is actually filling it full of it's first of many refills?.
  8. I'm going either water in the diesel fuel or possibly a coolant leak under heavy load, if it's been sat in the yard for months frost damage maybe as white smoke indicates moisture. Heavy load is normally black or grey unless it's Baltic. But I would be tempted considering the work on the fuel system to soapy water spray to make sure everything is nipped up tight and no leaking or split hoses sucking up air.
  9. That and badgers, they definitely eat hedgehogs.

For less than £30 it's probably worth a punt.
  11. Jesus probably doesn't even know if Judas stabbed him in the back
  12. Hence why I was asking, I get the chemistry aspect of it all as it's basically creating a syngas of volatiles. Wasn't sure if the extended cooking caused the carbon to turn more to carbon dust than say a lump.
  13. Well as reading obviously isn't your strong point, see second sentence. It's was a perfectly valid question, as yes it is carbon its physical structure of an identifiable piece of wood may have turned into proportionally more fines with more cooking.
  14. I get the fast Vs slow pyrolysis, as that's with added oxygen its effectively a gasification log boiler. But you're charcoal retort keeps the two separate, carbon can't burn without Oxygen. Presumably Vigen isn't getting it hot enough then ?.
  15. Can you actually overcook charcoal. I assumed as it's oxygen free its more a case of cooking it without wasting extra time ?.
  16. Shaft shredder would be my option if you had one.
  17. Probably white or grey schedule 80 pressure pipework. Having dealt with USA made spears pipework in the old days of getting high as a kite on pvc glue it's evil stuff, I wouldn't thinking putting it through a chipper as it'll kill the blades. It does actually splinter and snap, best cut down to manageable lengths and thrown in a skip.
  18. You don't want to seal it up too tightly, needs to breath so leave the sides open. Maybe make a frame with an overhang of say 6-12", four posts and two ropes with a tarp.
  19. Not really much difference, I've best part of 300 ibcs sat outside with wooden lids all getting down to below 20%. We measure rain in meters here, I'll drag a cage into the shed for a day or two just to get rid of any surface moisture. Six months and it's usually enough.
  20. If you want to eat 1980s chocolates and drinking Nescafé gold blend whilst watching the fire, that's up to you 🙂

  22. Yup, it isn't rocket science or a dark art. Anyone that believes its some mysterious black magic lead into gold, needs to calm down.
  23. Funny that, geopolitics all connected to two simple mindsets, fancy that. It's amazing how student politics doesn't work in practice, just ask those WEF stooges that came, left a bad smell and disappeared under a cloud of utter hatred by their electorate.
  24. Summary, waaaaaah, then insert and repeat oh he's a bad man. The EU and Starmer like telling everyone beforehand what they want and how they might capitulate and roll over for a tummy scratch. Donald goes all in as all good negotiating saying what you want but not what you're willing to move on. Willing to get fkd providing you've bought me dinner Vs fk me and we'll talk over a cigarette but they've already pumped and dumped.
