In the cold war maybe, as you're effectively arguing for state sponsored propaganda in Europe and Asia via CIA/NSA etc. I seem to remember that didn't end well for certain Lord Haw haw. And didn't hear you moaning when we scaled down the world service, as that's our version of a propaganda tool.

Thing is the whole charity thing is effectively tax offset not avoiding tax, they still pay a percentage but it doesn't go to the government. The Starbucks example is the same for Amazon, Google, Microsoft etc. The same Ikea 30% profit model, every layer is separate including trademark and royalties. It's legal because they only tax whichever layer and where, it the same thing Branson does leasing the virgin name. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but you make a system as simple as possible and it gets followed, same as here it 600+ pages of vagueness. Wasn't the usa system created because of Rockefeller or similar his earnings were like 5 times the USA ?.

Yes it can become compost, but that's why it's classed as waste for most people and requires paying for its disposal and paperwork. If it was going for processing into compost/chip that's a different thing, it's a bit of a grey area, but he needs to explain what and where he was taking it. If it was to a bonfire pile down on Dave's farm, he's bang to rights I'm afraid.

Personally I'd get rid of the offsetting tax things using charity. That's how the rich reduce tax in the USA, whilst you can argue it's good for museums etc as that's why we had a lot of libraries here funded in part by Carnegie.

No, 2 months. Sleepy Joe, pretty much erased everything Donald did last time. That's why this time it's all guns blazing, so the results can be seen quickly and visible over the next 3.5 years as Donald 1 took the slow approach and that backfired before they had been implemented and realised.

The man has been in power for what 2 months!. It's called pragmatism, instead of automatically resorting to believing its a salt the earth scenario. From what I've seen the state employees are 50% larger than when Clinton downsized it.

Digs included breakfast, if they didn't you got a £5 for that. £7 for lunch and evening meal was £15 depending. Other than that WiFi was a given, everything else was out your own pocket as per at home.

I don't get where you believe I see him as some form of Messiah, but a necessity for the USA and saving $105B by all accounts already. I see him as somewhere in the middle, John Kennedy is already talking about the tax system reform.
