  1. Still increased the VED tho
  2. It might work on say ITV or C4 but the BBC have to try to whole impartiality thing even with comedy, granted that's probably 90% Tory bashing and a weak labour joke from the audience. YouTube is pretty much what ever within reason, but he does do actual standup shows. Granted from a standup perspective, unlike the unfunny Ben Elton/eddy izzard he is pretty even handed regardless who's in power.
  3. No doubt with Kamala & Diane being deputy, competing in the maths Olympics?
  4. He did for a while on BBC sounds. I suspect despite his political content he's a closet Tory. Laura kuensberg was a not so in the closet Tory and stuck out like a sore thumb at the BBC from what friends have said.
  5. Park it side on, thread straps from the wheels on the other side of the car. All force is then on the side where it's almost impossible to roll it over without grinding the tyres into the ground and flipping it. Whilst tyres are big it's surface area on the floor is less than a sheet of A4 and never rely on a gearbox or engine to stop as it's an expensive. Okay if you're parked on a hill as a backup to a handbrake, knew a guy that did that daily to start a tractor when the battery died on a fergy.
  6. Absolute BS, handing them millions upon millions to the tune of billions has achieved the zero sum of absolutely diddly squat. I'll say it again, lend lease or you get absolutely nothing and he'll start negotiating knowing we aren't going to foot the bill for his incessant grand standing. And don't even try to say it's to benefit us because it doesn't.
  7. Before or after the Colombian marching powder arrived?
  8. From what I remember it was more about having for example scud missiles than NATO. I would have thought having a post WW2 germany style force on the border, wouldn't be bad. Start moving long range missiles or nukes and yeah he'll kick off. Ukraine had nukes what 15/20 years back!.
  9. Because it's a former soviet block country would be the general assumption. Whilst it was a democratically elected and governed country kinda, they were never part of NATO. Even then I don't think that means much today as we've not had a test of that recently, whilst a poor example is Bosnia, we pretty much left to kick each other for a good while. No koolaid required, it's just reality. Compromise and DMZ the river as we can't keep giving them money for it to become a forever war of billions of pounds for nothing.
  10. Ok, as a compromise for you and the Ukrainian leader. Fight aslong as you wish, but from today all armour and supplies are provided on a lend lease agreement like WW2. See how long it takes for a agreement to be reached shall we, instead of grifting his way around the world.
  11. What did I say about the river ?. As usual zero solutions, just political waffle and grandstanding expecting Putin to just go home.
  12. Well it's pretty obvious I say yes a deal should have been done. And as usual you're just stuck to your moral high ground of Russia should go home, stomp feet they're bad waffle waffle waffle. So what's your solution, they aren't going home so...........
  13. Well with you encyclopedic knowledge, why not find me a country that got invaded and got it all back (WW1&2 excluding as that was a world war) It's called negotiation, do you seriously think Russia is just going to stop and go home?. If you actually believe that take all records of your education and burn them on a BBQ in the garden as they've taught you nothing.
  14. Why not use a little common sense before throwing you're toys out of the pram, the same deal pretty much Boris was touting briefly. Russia keeps the Donbas, the river becomes the border and the EU/NATO set up along it. Unless you'd like a DMZ like north/south Korea, Cyprus or Germany?.
  15. How long has Russia been in the Donbas?. You're coveted EU and NATO are responsible, turning into modern day Anthony Eden's.
  16. Why not define war Vs an occupation. Let's use Afghanistan as a recent benchmark for you. We went to war and gave it back, within days it returned to pretty much the same condition as before, after what 15-20 years of occupation?.
  17. How about actually reading the article, instead of just trump bashing at a snippet. "Well, you’ve been there for three years, you should have ended it three years. You should have never started it, you could have made a deal.” The whole thing has been running on longer than WW1/2/Vietnam, isn't it now almost aslong as Afghan?. Any longer and it'll turn into the 100 years war, which were all paying to prop up
  18. Yeap, that seems to be the general information I've seen, it's just a fancy almost off the shelf Knights Armaments fancy AR15. Especially after the gargantuan amount they've spent on the SA80A3 upgrade.
  19. Doubtful, if it was going that way you'd just get a few more EMPs and reduce the world to the dark ages.
  20. Well the new KS1 army rifle is just under 10k each excluding optics and they've ordered 1600
  21. He's called Teflon Tony for a reason!.
  22. Don't ever ask an Aussie about the emu wars!. Blame autocorrect, but potato/potatto
  23. So let's use your hypothetical for say Afghan/Iraq/Hamas. How am I supposed to target a gorilla force that refuses to wear a identifiable uniform?. The general default was anyone with a gun who wasn't you, the police or their army were effectively classed as hostile.
  24. Well seeing as Dresden was a manufacturing hub for the Reich, that's one of the reasons it was chosen. Same reasoning behind the dam busters raids, same reason they targeted railway and other infrastructure. Ukraine is a bit different, other than a few drones all the weapons and armour is delivered ready for use and they do target those centres. So yes bombing a city would be a war crime, as it's not the 1940s. We can drop a bomb with almost mm precision, in the 40s they quickly realised high altitude bombing didn't work particularly due to cloud and flak.
  25. Because they know they can't argue with a wet lettuce when you offer no alternative except oh how bad it was. It's not a case of armchair general or fire and brimstone, I've done my bit making electronics during Afghanistan for our combined forces. It's not a case of bangier or brimstone, it's a case of civilians prop up a regime regardless of their political persuasion and you topple the regime bottom up. And the knowledge of history also helps, what was done HAD to be done, hearts and minds is utter bs. It might lower your deaths but doesn't work long term.
