    Such contracts didn't work particularly well for Amey, they tried that with a lot of gas/electric meter installers before COVID, and it went down like a lead balloon and they lost a lot of cases in the small claims courts. Your better off saying 6 months and you'll do your basic ticket, or see if there is a college route and take the hit for one day a week etc. Better to make friends employee wise than them running off and setting up against you in the local area. Plus non compete were made illegal decades back, unless you're selling a business from vague conversations.

    Erm have you looked at the specs, that moves enough air to vent your average b&Q warehouse or your local leisure centre!. It's 250 litres a second!.     Whilst I've not fitted one, suspended bathroom ceiling bs so dehumidifier on the landing. MHRV is your best bet in a bathroom, something like 90% heat recovery or if you've a loft you could have it returning outside the bathroom so you get a bit of fresh air constantly. Not cheap but cheaper than a dehumidifier in the long term as they're about 250/300w Vs something like 30w for a mhrv.

    Think you'll find spud is not in a control zone, so can do as he pleases legally and is only controlling the burn rate and not flue temperatures. I could stand here and argue with cough management, but I'll let the titanic sink whilst you aimlessly veer into that ever so lovely iceberg. Plus narcissistic isn't really the word, confident in my own knowledge would be something completely different.

    Because, depending on construction the moisture will be forming on the ground floor joists as the air will be drawn through from the cold and condensing on the warm wood then filtering through the carpet and underlay. As I've said before do what you want, just don't come back here bitching when you get fined from the local council or the floor starts rotting from the joists.     I still have the mental image of Lammy or Starmer being turned away from the inauguration and being told to sling her hook back to your tea ship.     I wouldn't say tinker, but I know the boiler inside out and back to front and the thing isn't sat facing my in my living room when I'm watching TV when it fails 🙂. I've long thought the hetas biomass industry needs a complete start again, having met plenty of installers, they were barely above combi boiler level. It's also a complex joke to get certified, I've looked and it was just like WTF. They expect you to be a plumber/gas fitter previously, even the gas boys are staying away from doing flue installs due to the cowboys.

    Personally I think it's mostly poor installation that cause problems, personally no external air and I don't think they should be fitted full stop, treat it like a gas boiler installation. I've a big boy 25kw DEFRA boiler, fully adjustable draught regulation etc. Which was and is tuned using a differential pressure meter I own and is also dependent on the cowl etc. I've known plenty that have tinkered and had to replace the stoves within a few years, either burnt out the inners or turned it into a cracked piece of scrap.

    DEI has been around for ages, it's the backwards idea that you should employ the black lesbian, instead of whoever is most qualified or experienced for the position. DEI is government backed racist/sexist and gay flag waving bias. Positive discrimination is still Discrimination, worked so well for the RAF didn't it and having to financially pay off after it was highlighted.
