Obviously speak to a local stove/heating engineer, but 5kw gives you a starting point. It's all about keeping the heat in the stove tho, best looking at something like a laddomat or similar. Let's the radiators sip the heat and maintains boiler efficiency

I'll put this politely, that's far too large without a huge 1500 litre buffer tank and expansion tank. It's not like a gas boiler system that can cycle on and off. Whilst that might be 30kw, a stove needs to be able to run without overheating or exploding as it needs to dissipate heat somewhere. If you also read the listing, it doesn't meet current regulations. Anything that large is going to eat wood like it's going out of fashion, I run a 25kw Angus and it'll eat a wheelie bin a day. Best say 10kw max and just supplement the existing system.

Before we all go down rabbit hole and warrens of discussions, maybe find a model of fireplace with a backboiler. From what I remember they are a bit few and far between especially if they meet the current smoke regulations and modern eco design requirements.

Same with Sky, AA and a lot of these companies. Surely someone better paid than I can also realise if they didn't take liberties and just added a couple of percent, all these comparisons site would go out of business and we wouldn't need to ring every year to moan about the price. Which always mysteriously shrinks, I know they are probably relying on those people who don't even balk at the auto renewal but that must be a small percentage?.

Try LV for anything domestic, always been pretty reasonable including business use and every family member just incase for about £389 fully comp.

Ring NFU for anything commercial or agricultural. Lost nothing and they won't spam you will all these emails which always mysteriously start when you shop around on comparison sites.

Certainly agree it's about right, assuming it's HT sheep netting with three HT lines of plain wire. Most fencing guys won't touch mild steel which is cheap for a reason but horrible, HT is shockingly expensive but lasts and can be tensioned. You're paying for speed at the end of the day, you can always go cheaper but they'll space the posts further and it'll look awful quicker.

So you want Scotland to keep and use all the energy, whilst we below the border actually prop up your electric network ?. You need what's known as base load to actually use the "renewable", which if memory serves is mostly produced outside of Scotland. -

That and the physical size of the actual conductor, which has to be larger than if in open air. Plus you cannot be self sufficient in wind energy, you need a grid to support it and prevent blackouts. -
What about some bright heat shrink on the handle ?. Won't go sticky like tape.

Whatever it is it'll be 20% as a general rule of thumb. Might even need to get yourself a EORI number due to the value, depending on the shipping company you'll probably also need to sign paperwork and pay them for the processing of paperwork.

Ah, that's the big boy hatz at around 2.6 litres without the silent pack. I've the tiny single cylinder 667cc silent pack, is yours a fixed RPM as they seem to sell variable versions. Just thinking whatever you want to mate it too you'll need to know the max rpm so it doesn't grenade itself. Daft question, have they adjusted the valve clearances ?. As I assume it's just smoke from the diesel burning and not oil consumption.

Hatz engines will always smoke on start up, they use a simple over fuel start system as they don't have an fuel injection system like a Perkins. It's one of the reasons a hatz goes full throttle on starting regardless of what the throttle settings is before settling down.

Think the post office, like any place will be ok as long as you're not taking 1000s in every day as even I'm surprised they don't have a vault in the branch, yet banks expect them to do most of the customer banking these days. It all depends on price of the job I guess, what sort of price range do they start asking?. No I wasn't suggesting fiddling the vat, but maybe quote more initially, what the customer doesn't know and all that ?. -

With most banks being few and far between, it's mostly down to the post office to handle these days. -
Is it a rotator or a hydraulic ram ?. As I'm not sure if a rotator is just a fancy downsized hydraulic pump, so it would flow through as it turns. If that's what it is then if the seals have failed it would bypass more than normal causing less power.

Is the grab on quick disconnects ?. Open the grab disconnect and leave for a day, if you come back and it's closed its bypassing the seals.

I wouldn't overthink it too much, e stop, winch in and freewheel out. It's probably the usual Scandinavian litteral translation, clutch for go & brake for stopping the drum power. Seeing the more fancy winches they have all the reverse power feed functions etc especially on the radio remotes. -
Is it a one piece valve block or slice type, if it's slice swap functions and see if it still bypasses. Low tech but seals are cheaper than a new valve block
