  1. Harness for a bad back? Yeah, someone else's!... Or buy a mewp :-)
  2. Hia Dan, did you get the price you wanted for your rock grinder? I ended up getting a us praxis!
  3. I used a normal disc for the steel & touched up all 12 teeth in about 20 minutes. Doesn't look too pretty but today was only it's second outing, on a stump that was twice the size of the first one & took me about the same time (not including tea, chatting & clearing the area) I got as close to 30 degrees as I could, think I'd get a better finish & longer tooth life with a bench grinder though.
  4. I've used one on a bobcat, it did seem a bit slow at the time but in relation to a pedestrian grinder it was a piece of p...
  5. Ended up buying a diamond disc for the angry grinder off of eBay, what a difference between grinding & just burning through it! That aside, have any other idiots been working on the sabbath?!
  6. Great for estate work but hardly narrow access.
  7. Haha, it's just a shame you're a crap shot mate! ;-)
  8. Being on Arbtalk when I should be working!
  9. When the Climber doesn't give you enough time to clear the brash & drops big lumps on top (when there's no need for a brash mat)
  10. Sums it up perfectly Mr B :-)
  11. Taking a slash in customers garden where you could be seen easily by client or walkers by. Talking shite & hanging around when your talking to the client discussing payment. Chucking brash in chipper then walking off leaving someone else to get it unstuck. Loading chipper when you're clearly trying to get something to go through. Dropping brash just in front of you when they could have waited 2 seconds for you to grab it instead of having to bend down to pick it up again. Walking off to sharpen / adjust their chain for the 4th time today (when they've barely used a tank). Picking up & using my saw, it's MY SAW! not bloody yours!!!. Not putting stuff back in the right place / where they got it from. Looking down at phone & not looking up at climber. General namby pamby mincing around. Moaning about age of kit. Worst of all - standing / sitting there not getting stuck in when others are grafting. Grrrrrrrrrrr....
  12. Just another day on the power lines! ;-)
  13. Ask these guys... arb forestry How heavy is the grinder?

After using stihl hiflexs' for years & finding them really comfy but not hard wearing i can't recommend pfanner gladiators highly enough as they win on both counts.

  17. I use a pressure washer to remove bark, works well.
  18. Have you looked at his other item for sale? Very easy to nick a chipper if you've got a hi-ab!
  19. Cheers guys but I don't have the time or inclination to do it myself atm, just need a firm to do it for me + I've got a spare set that need re-tipping.
  20. Hi all, as per title can anyone point me in the direction of a firm that can provide these services? Did my first stump grinding job today :-) but it was burning through the stump as opposed to grinding it! Have had a go with the angle grinder but to no avail :-( Cheers in advance.
  21. Hardly an idea for home made!?....
  22. It maybe if there was another picture!....
  23. Always found them to be hassle free.
  24. So what do you lads charge for stump grinding? I know some are from £40 per stump & upto £400 for a day rate but do you have set prices for sizes or do you just gauge it by what car they drive?! ;-) just picked up a Lil praxis grinder & not 100% sure of prices yet.
