Is that you Dave? It's a M.M.W.S second hand from America. I got a 32" Oregon powermatch bar for it and a few full skips.

    MS 660

Outstanding, thanks. Any point in putting a dab of Tech 7 on the end of the line to keep it from popping out?
  7. Go for it man, I was thirty six when I started climbing. I have no regrets and I love climbing trees, even the ivy covered multi stemmed Lelandi!!!

    MS 660

Afternoon all, I feel like there's something missing off the end of my fuel line, some kind of breather valve perhaps. I purchased this saw second hand, it runs but I haven't cut anything with it yet. I'm familiar with saws up to a point but not a small engine mech, Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
  9. Pfanner protos, very comfortable and best of all the muffs are on the inside.
  10. Finally sorted my H.D filter conversion, i got the X/T filter holder (part number, 522 02 45) and the air filter mounting bolt and knob (part number, 537 21 32-04). Now to retune with my tach.
  11. Topping previously topped multi stemmed, ivy covered Lelandi in the rain! Oh Lord!!
  12. I'd stay away from the V.T if one is new to the H.C system. The Michoacan or distel are simpler to tie with less sit back and are not as tempremental.
  13. I buy F.C and make my own e2e's so not that expensive. Cheaper than a pair of broken legs or worse! I keep my faster descents for my Zigzag.
  14. Indeed, i bin my e2e's after two Months or so.
  15. Marlow viper works well and really lasts.
  16. My H.C setup consists of 11.7mm Yale Blue Tongue and an 8mm e2e using a Michoacan, works well.
  17. Both horrible boots! Get some Andrews for yourself.
  18. I doubt it, approx four feet at the butt i'd say.
  19. Husky 550xp, is there a pub on the island? If so have they got good draught Guinness? Are there good looking single women to be found locally??
  20. If you could get it into the water, tie it to a boat and bring it to the mainland you could get it milled. Ringing a beauty like that up for firewood would be a travesty. If you could find someone with an 880 and an alaskan mill he could mill it on site.
  21. Sell the log to someone with a woodmizer and buy a Husqvarna 550xp or a Stihl ms 241 c-m or a Stihl ms 261 c-m to cut up the branch wood into fire wood.
  22. The same for the 372xp/xt, the stock low pro air filter has two holes, one low and one high. The H.D filter holder i got doesn't match, the schematic shows a 2003 372xp, mines a 2012xp/xt.
  23. Thanks, the bolt that holds the filter to the filter holder isn't long enough either.
