  1. Went to view a job at an old ladies place the other day(to big a job for me) & her garden wall was held up with brackets screwed into her garage... Rob
  2. Kennel is now spoken for, thanks for looking. Rob
  3. I retired last year, & now only have one dog but 2 kennels, so I'd like to offer one up for free to site members. The dimensions of the kennel are(approx.) 6ft high x 5ft wide x 7ft long, with a 4ft run & an enclosed sleeping/day area. The kennel is wooden, but sits on metal feet keeping off the ground, there is no rot & its currently water tight, & its not been chewed ! It will need to be collected from Grantham, & as the felt will need to be split to take it apart it will need new roofing felt. Rob
  4. Thanks for the information. Rob

    Stihl fs 70

    It is to me:001_smile: Rob
  6. Sounds like I need to avoid them then ?. I have the fs55 combi, with hedge cutter & pole saw attachments & its served me well, & that's what the new engine would be used for, I did buy the fs94 strimmer & I'm happy with that. So when new stihl models come out they will go back to being 2 strokes ?. Thanks for the info on being able to use the 4 stroke mix in the 2 strokes, I only use stihl 2 stroke oil, so don't mind having to buy the stihl 4 stoke oil. Rob

    Stihl fs 70

Yes, been using it quite a bit. Not had a big strimmer before, so not got any real experience of how others work, but its far, far more powerful than my "partner" one. Rob
  8. Means carrying an extra fuel can around with me, petrol for the mowers/chippers & 2 stroke for hedgecutters/blowers etc.. & now 4mix ! Rob
  9. I currently have an 11yr old fs55 & I'm thinking of upgrading, any thoughts on which one to get ?. Rob
  10. That's more than I paid for mine. Rob
  11. Got my major 4s on Tuesday, used it yesterday, for me its a joy to use, it reduced a major garden reduction down to nothing, it did about 2hrs work, over 2 jobs, chipping stuff up to about 1.5", with no issues at all, but the ability to eat the small stuff is amazing, & chops it up in to a fine mulch, for me as a gardener its superb & earned me £350 in to the bargain The only draw back with it I can see is that it chops stuff up so fine that I could easily overload my trailer. I will be using it again this after noon to deal with a big hedge reduction. Rob
  12. If anyone's interested, I found Sherwood compost on Stragglethorpe road, its the Cotgrave turn off of the A52, near the RSPCA place. Rob
  13. As a bit of a "Ray Mears", I've been cooking on wood fires in the open for a long time. We also sometimes bbq on a a small bbq we have using wood I prefer it if I have the time to the gas one. Rob
  14. In a different life, in a universe far far away, I was on a course, & they put us up[ in a hotel in Tamworth. Anyway we had a night on the town, I started the night with £150 in my pocket, & the next day had to borrow £1.30 to buy a sandwich... According to the guy on the course with me, I swore undying love to more than one "young lady" & was buying drinks accordingly.... Rob
  15. Sorry to hear that Mark. Rob
  16. The plug was oily around the tread, put the "business end" was a light grey. I'm thinking its a fuel issue but not sure. Its a great size with the bent shaft fitting nicely across the inside of the van, & the swivel head is a big help, so I'd like another, but can't find any, I was hoping some of the dealers on here could shed some light on this. I took it in to my local dealer, as he'd never seen one, & he was impressed & seemed to think there could be a good market for them. Rob
  17. I have a small bent shaft partner strimmer, that I can rotate the shaft on, ie turn it 180 degree's so you can edge lawns with it. Are they still available in any make ? as I've been looking but can't find any. Also the one I have keeps cutting out on idle or slow speeds. I changed the spark plug yesterday & it ran fine, went to use it today & the same problem. Regards, Rob
  18. Someone tried to get in touch with me yesterday but my inbox was full. My apologies for this, & I've now made space. Regards, Rob
  19. Sounds like a job for a treebusta !. I've got one my business is changing, so mine may be up for sale soon. Rob
  20. Looking for a tip site in the area of Tollerton near Nottingham. Regards, Rob
  21. Where did you get that sunshine in the 2nd photo from, not seen any of that this week ! Rob
  22. I've found that Lawnmower services of Wellingore, have one in their hire fleet(the major)& they've said that if I hire it like it, buy one they'll refund the hire fee. Rob
  23. That does look a bit of a beast. Rob
  24. Thanks for your input folks. Rob
