  7. Hi mate I know your area a bit I used to live in Paignton, can you get part time work delivery driving? Building supplies companies often do mainly morning deliveries or you could do a catalogue run or something?

  9. how long ago was that? i think its changing hands at the moment and should be improving a lot, what are the "other" reasons out of interest?
  10. There is also Eurogreen in worthing, Titnore lane, but they might not be too keen on taking fence panels.
  11. Its terrible stuff, good for sleepers and not a lot else. we had a big one to mill years ago the sawmill (Serra Bavaria) hated it and refused to cut straight. its not even much good for firewood as its a sod to split and it blunts chains.
  12. The full wrap is 505 15 69-01 and i got mine from Devon Garden Machinery in Torquay, speak to Nathan Nash in parts, his email is [email protected]. Not in stock but it will take about a week to come in.

  19. Hi all thank you for your replies that trailed one is just the sort of thing i was thinking of shavey! how are you building the head? also what are chainsaw mills like? really slow? ive attached some pics of the one i used to operate.
  20. Hi all, when I left school 6 years ago, I worked for a guy named Dave Welch (some may have heard of him) in cullompton, Devon, and he had a portable Serra Montana sawmill. I worked for him part time for 2.5 years before we parted ways due to him not really having enough work to support an employee. To cut to the chase I want to build a smaller version of the Mill he had, I have good welding skills, a workshop i can use and a trailer chassis, a 5 metre metal chassis i can use as a saw bed, and a Husqvarna 3120xp. My point in posting is, is it worth making this incorporating a chainsaw as the saw element of the mill, as I already have a big saw, or would it be better to hold out for a bandsaw hoping i can find one secondhand? Has anyone made anything like this? I basically want to do this as id love to get back into milling and have most of these bits around that i can use but would it all work? Sorry its a bit of a spiel but hopefully someone can help!
  21. Gotta love sugihara:001_tt1: thanks Rob D:thumbup1:
  22. I've got one its ok but the handle is a bit short. i use it more for hammering wedges in with the back of it than splitting logs. I also have a Fiskars x27 which has a longer handle and is better for splitting IMO.
  23. WHOLE TREE WOOD CHIPPER | eBay
