For sure larger flywheel and big blades with smaller engine combo goes better that 35hp small flywheel etc. almost bought an arborist 150gm. Couldn't believe how small and light it all was once we got the bonnet off... though the 230tw was pretty good performance wise Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

Such a difference in weight though surely the 230's have had to sacrifice something to get it down to 750kg.... Some of the manufacturers say you can't make a long lasting chipper under 750kg Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

Ok looking to get my first splitter as more wood is coming in than I expected (not complaining) but what would you recommend? Kinetic looks much better than hydraulic... rock machinery make quite a good one by the looks of it. Suggestions??

Had one on demo and very nearly got one, being 6,4 the hopper was just a little too low for me. Good machine though...
