  1. The truck needs uprated springs really otherwise i'd have made the back a bit bigger. However i'm never too far from a tip site and a friend has a transit should I need it in larger jobs...
  2. It's unreal the behaviour of some people.. As far as i'm aware you can't film people or take photos. Whenever people give me hard time over taking trees down i'm quick to tell them that i've planted more trees than they've had hot dinners!!!
  3. At one point he even tried to tried to turn my chipper on?? I said to the client that she shouldn't be afraid to call the police on him as he saw fit to walk in to her garden as he pleased...
  4. Right!! I had a job lasting a day and a half in my nearest town. The neighbour to the garden i was working walked in in his dressing gown stinking of weed says to me to leave the logs with him. I informed him that all goes away with me, he didn't like that much and walked off. 3 hours later he returns telling me he wants money for the car wash as my chipper has smothered it in dust : / upon inspection there was nothing there. I offered to run the blower over it but he declined. Throughout the day he kept asking me what I was going to do about it.The day ended. Returned monday to finish off the last part of the job the same man comes in to the garden demanding i move my chipper (parked off the road in clients driveway) he says he doesn't want the noise, i inform him that i am not breaking the law...he then phones the police!! The police tell him what i told him. He then phoned the council telling them i'm cutting down protected trees:confused1: then I have a 3 hours of him filming me with his phone while i work while i chip up. He recorded me every time we spoke. He took pictures of my truck while i worked. Told me constantly that i was going down and that he would see me in court. Throughout all of this I gave him no attitude used no foul language though i wanted to punch a hole through is head! Never had anything like it!!!
  5. Good to hear! This one is from masons who I here good things from. I keep all logs so it's just for brash, reliability is what I really need (don't we all) I've been warned off all these sub 750's by most people on here...
  6. I'm on the verge of getting one of these chippers... Anyone got or used one. This ones been refurbished and looks great though nearly 1500 hours. Would really appreciate any feedback...
  7. Tried the arborist 150 that was just like a t.wolf 150... Forst st6 is pretty good! Used a 10 year old jensen and that was still going strong at a firm I used to work for....
  8. That's why i'm wondering if i'm better off with an old machine that hasn't compromised on quality for the sake of weight.... Schliesing are the rolls royce apparently...
  9. Is it pony? it ran ok when I tried it though rollers did not pull in well to be honest, heard about bearings and dodgy paintwork too... please elaborate on your experience with it...
  10. I'm looking at the schliesing mx 200 on masons woodchippers site. it's not far off 1500hrs what do we think? need a 6' soon tried a GM arb150 from o.plant and it was ok. The schliesings only slightly cheaper than the ex hire GM. Opinions please as i'm making the decision this week....
  11. Oil choice makes quite a difference. Nothing but husky xp goes in my husky saws.. Also had a 362 for a while soon got rid!
  12. Yeah so anyway... Who here uses vented bags to store wood? Is it worth it would you say as they're quite pricey for what they are imo...
  13. Are vented log bags worth bothering with? They're pricy for what they are...
  14. I had seen one working and it looked good! Just wanted to hear how people were getting on with them....
  15. I'm fairly new to the firewood game but i'm massing quite a pile in the dutch barn all hardwoods. What do we think is a reasonable price per cubic metre? Apologies if there's a thread on this already......
  16. Thinking of buying one of these. Any feedback on here from anyone that's used or owns one??
  17. Brilliant cheers for the info:thumbup1:
  18. I was told if i could get it out then it was mine... Some lovely straight and thick lengths
  19. Agreed it's hell of a firewood! All of this was going to be piled up and burnt on site can you believe some tree surgeons...??
  20. Row of yews removed, hand balled the lot on and off the trailer....phew
  21. This weeks yew haul.. Can't just be logged up surely. Very tempted to buy an norwood mn26 and try boarding some up, opinions?
  22. Revs ok, doesn't scream. Have infact just got it back from being serviced. They inspected clutch and said it was fine. Pulls well through large cuts... New clutch springs then and thorough clean?
