  1. I have a leaky hydraulic tank on my st6p, looks like the gasket has perished and come apart. Anyone has this and where to get a replacement from? Is it part offered by Forst? Cheers
  2. Wasn't exactly offensive what he said, just simply expressing an opinion which you're seemingly not allowed to have in England anymore. No establishment just hits you with fascism they slowly integrate it...
  3. How awful, grateful my hydraulic powered grinder shuts off the moment I let go of the joystick. Probably saves me doing something daft...
  4. I suffered a brake in back in September and consequently wound down the business. Before hand I looked to see if I could replace what was taken but there was hardly anything... No Husqvarna battery tools. No Blowers nothing..
  5. I have a woodland mills fp160. I charge £300 with myself operating.
  6. I recently stepped down from a job as the client wasn't prepared to wait for a felling license, another contractor trashed a stretch of woodland much to the anger of the residents that lived along the other side of the road. Someone had contacted the FC to only to be informed a few days later that they had obtained a felling license.. Didn't realise one could be obtained within the space of a week lol
  7. After speaking to someone from the FC I'll be applying for a thin, it's less than 30% of the trees in the woodland. No need for a restocking either. It will benefit the smaller trees beneath the canopies of the sycamores- yew/beech etc. It sounds like regardless of the trees being in a conservation area and permission being granted by LPA it seems just to be down to volume of timber that requires the license.
  8. I don't really want to do it gradually I'd rather just get the permission. I think there's about 5 cbm there and that's where I'm stopping.
  9. I know I've been over all of this with her, it is somewhat of an extreme reaction to take them all down. The surrounding woodland area is dense with Beech yew and ash and maple so they're unlikely to be missed on the landscape, point being that we're on the 5cbm limit for this quarter so without a felling license I don't believe we can proceed....
  10. No it’s the surrounding land around the paddocks so definately not the garden. I’ve taken about 5cbm down already and stopped as I thought it was an ongoing project but the client is now wanting them all down due to her horses but I won’t proceed without getting official go ahead
  11. Hi, I got consent in a conservation area to fell close to 50 sycamore trees surrounding paddock land for horses. I've done planning and got permission from the LPA, I'm putting the brakes on mainly due to weather but think I better apply for a felling license too. Not sure if I require this alongside permission from LPA. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
  12. In the field on the edge of the woods where it was found the estate had a deer stalker up in the nest who said the same truck came by every night and slowed down and stopped along the road but must have noticed the deer stalkers truck parked up.... incredible
  13. They are one of the highest recommended insurers in the trade. It's been shocking and kind of disheartening how disinterested the police were and how the insures didn't really ask for more than a crime number, guess it's such a regular occurrence...
  14. Will do, appreciate the advice! I'd fallen out with the yard owner over all of this so I now effectively have the recovered chipper at home which makes me nervous
  15. Fine if they did, just wanted someone to communicate something as it's been silent
  16. It wasn't something I was entertaining, the manner of the brake in made me feel that we needed to do more to resist but the owner of the yard was indifferent to doing anything
  17. Even when it's their property? surely not
  18. I'm not particularly bothered as the burglary has led us to fold so I don't care about buying it back it's just there's been no communication from them at all, just a bit strange....
  19. Can anyone help me I was broken into 19th of September and had my chipper stolen. Two weeks later it was found in the woods on a local estate, so I had already been paid out by the insurers and wound down my company due to security concerns. I alerted the insurers and notified me that it was their property but haven't heard from them as to when they'll get it?! It's currently locked on the driveway but obviously not ideal, anyone been through a similar situation?
  20. Based in Suffolk, offering myself with Avant 420 with grab. Couple of other services as listed in title. 07787915423 [email protected]
  21. heating and water ideally, the eco Angus looks good.
  22. Can anyone with a log boiler system offer any advice? Moving to a property currently on oil but looking at systems to implement. Questions to ask, Which system? Cost of installation? Can it run alongside / be incorporated into an existing oil system? I'm aware any government help is now closed but as being a tree surgeon with a healthy supply of firewood would negate the loss of help from the gov.
