  1. any one else see the itv news at 6 tonight? notice the guy clearing up a wind blow tree next the tractor and botex trailer wearing a pair of desert camo combats??
  2. I was told when I did my cs39 that I could only use my top handle saw while on the ground if it's attached to my harness with my strop.
  3. would you play with chemicals that you know nothing about? so why use a dangerous bit of equipment?
  4. I don't aim my posts to bitch at you mate, I'm sorry if that's how it looks, I do get your point and the valid point your raised in your first post. this country and it's blame and claim culture is to blame, if were not so pathetic in trying to pass the buck you question would be irrelevant. it's not, so I do see your point and it always pays to try and cover your back and be cautious and not leave your self open to claim. but seriously at end of day whether a professional arborist or not you have nothing to fear by selling a top handle saw on eBay or even privately, it would take a hell of a lawyer and some really bloody numb defence to hold you or any one else responsible for some other persons actions with a bit of equipment! just as long as it was sold in good safe working order, that's your only responsibility!!!!
  5. any saw can be used one handed, it's simple, you just let go of the front handle whether in a tree or on the the ground. it's up to the user to get the positioning right and not **** up and get kickback. its all down to user error we need to stop being so pathetic
  6. you can easily and very legally personally sell, air rifles, knives, swords, cross bows, mouse traps, power tools and any number of items where you can seriously hurt and even kill your self and others around you. and you don't need any tickets or training! can some one please explain why a top handle is any different?
  7. it's still a chainsaw at end of day, any idiot could use and ordinary saw on the ground or up a tree. I personally don't see the difference, just cos it's a top handle?
  8. I walked into a husky dealer about 5 weeks ago and bought one, the lads know I working in forestry but never even questioned my qualifications about time we recognised taking responsibilities for our own actions. you can buy a chainsaw from any DIY store and not get questioned, why should eBay and a top handle be any different? same could be said about any sharp saw, knife, chisel, plainer, chop saw or any power tool. as long as what ever you sell is in good safe working order, you should have nothing to fear. you take responsibilities for your own actions. this country really boils my blood stop being so bloody pathetic in trying to blame others
  9. that's horrible mate, hope your good lady makes a full recovery.
  10. very well said
  11. what's your address so I can come and try and turn you over knowing you won't try and stop me??
  12. I'd happily shoot them and move the body's ... hell, I'd even clean up for free for the privilege of shooting them, just like a duck shoot at the fair haha
  13. too bloody right
  14. wouldn't be saying that if your house was flooded and then when you found some where else to live in the mean time, some low life scrote robbed you??

for all those that drink it neat with ice, have any of you got a spherical ice cube maker?? less surface area and uniform shape means it don't melt as quick, or water it down as much. macallan gold is a lovely drop, they also make a very nifty ice ball maker, check out their web site. Ian
  20. Them power balls are brilliant, excellent for working the fore arms and helping with RSI wrist, elbow and even shoulder injuries. you can't really strengthen the wrist, best to try and strengthen the fore arm. if it's ligament or tendon damage in te wrist that's causing you pain, try have a rest with wrist support and then look towards physio and fore arm work, wringing out a bath towel is good, power balls are good, or some sort of weight attached to a string on a bit of dowel held out at arms length shoulder height and just just wrist and fore arm movement to raise as lower the weight by winding the string on the dowel.
