  1. It was either increments of 2.9m or 2.5m when I find these branches. the tree is a scots pine, age of the trees range from 30 to 90 year old
  2. it's just a climb for fun and for members to meet and have a bit chat Ian
  3. if you got your tickets you could go self employed and sub contract out
  4. you wanting advice on selling wood or getting a job? get some dumpy bags and try and sell them to locals if you get the wood for nothing, you can sell them cheap and still be in pocket. if your looking for work, training and equipment can be costly, if your determined enough and have your head screwed on it's achievable. for logging work you want your cs30,31 ticket and basic ppe, for a groundsman you want cs30,31,38,39 but then I gets costly. Ian

  14. looks a good skid lid, when protecting your melon, vision and hearing always try go for the best. quick tip... the clear visor as well as the mesh face guard helps against sap splattering, that stuff really stings when you get it in your eyes when it splattered through the mesh guard off your saw. I've got the stein super plasma and am getting the visor ASAP Ian

  21. I have one, it is quite heavy once fuel and oiled up, just starting to have problems with mine, starting it is a cow, it don't rev up automatically when started from cold, and when you blip the throttle it just stalls, found the best way to start it is with my foot jamming the throttle wide open and pulling it over, I know that's not right but until I can get it in the shop, it's just what I have to do
  22. a timely thread as we had the old bill knocking at the door at 1am saying that some one had reported seeing some one suspicious about our property and a bike laid on the drive, turns out some scrote was checking the place out and looking through our sheds, never stole anything, just casing the joint out! want a couple of these pir mms cameras for our house!
