  2. Hi, Im looking for part time or full time work in the County Durham area. My current qualifications are CS30 & 31, i have experience in forestry, felling and tinning woodland. I currently work full time in warehousing and Part time in forestry and am wanting to make the transition to tree / forestry work full time. I am awaiting dates from my local college so i can put myself through my next set of tickets which are CS38 & 39 I have my own transport, saw, equipment, ppe and experience in thinning / felling. If any one is looking for ground staff or a extra set of hands with outdoor work please get in touch if you think i might be of help. I have posed up looking for work in the Thirsk Northallerton and North Yorkshire area as my girl friend lives down there, I currently live in County Durham but am willing and looking to work in both areas. if golfers are members of a course they automatically have insurance if I remember correctly, not sure about the ones that pay and play on municipal courses though, good for thought if your the unlucky sod that gets hit as I seem it happen and it bloody hurts! Ian

interested in your gear mate, whats the size 2 mean or relate too? Ian
  15. both are good saws, both have their followers and both have good and bad reviews, try both and make your own mind up. neither is necessarily better than the other, it all comes down to personal choice Ian
  16. only one little hiccup when she was hot but that was soon fettled by removing the air filter. its not broke yet touch wood, let me put it to the test "full time" and ill be able to say properly Ian
  17. defo agree on the stihl fuel can but I can't complain about my husky 555 saw, it's a little cracker and starts first time every time....... touch wood hahaha
  18. and the fact husky make them out of thick orange plastic what make its hard to see when your running low or how much you have left unlike the stihl ones which you can easily see though
  19. id go 560xp i should have got one in stead of the 555, but still the 555 is a very nice saw and i have no complaints as yet.
  20. theres a 346xp on ebay, only 5min away from me too click me going cheap too by the looks of it!
  21. just make sure your cuts line up, it's more about competence with the saw
  22. on your test never risk touching the ground with the saw, never let the saw touch the ground anyway as it will just shag your teeth, nothing wrong with leaving a little bit and rolling the log over
  23. wouldn't buy from the states as you will have import tax to pay, I've found that f r jones & sons web site had very good prices for saws.
  24. asking if its possible to take load of the saw with a lighter chain and still have a fast cutting chain with as little drag/friction as possible
