  3. doing from seed of very little seedlings will be best as you can clip roots early and control and stunt growth better. what I was told by a pro at flower show couple of years ago
  4. not really any way to tell from the out side, axe a patch of sapwood off and you can feel it underneath, I'm working with someone who has some huge ripple grain sycamore to fell in the next couple of weeks, will try get a few pictures. I'm unsure of the prices but I kow he sells the rippled logs and makes a good profit from them, way more than firewood prices. ian

  6. turn the oiler up full, and cut some wet softwood, will clean a chain in about 2min
  7. the bmi scale is a heap of crap to go off as muscle weighs more than fat. I totally agree with the weight thing, nothing worse than carrying chunk cos he likes Burger King too much, had it in my last job and its a joke!

  12. defo agree with loose leg straps, even after a good piss n 2 hours climbing I'm not even close to 26" lol
  13. no matter how tight I have the waist it always seems to end up round my arse when climbing with a saw hanging off it!! kinda get used to it
  14. what harness you got? my sequoia always slips down, no matter what adjustment I do to it.
  15. we used to do a hot chilli sauce challenge at work, had some really tasty and very very hot stuff, really nice on crackers. the killer was something called 'da bomb 2 or ground zero' every one chickened out as the sauces got hotter, there was about 5 of us that tried the above sauce, it just wiped us all out, cold sweats, feeling faint, mental shits for 45min, and sickness. that was the end of that!

    a good 50cc saw, will love the smaller bars, could probably run 18" on it but take it easy. thinking 15" will have lovely balance for felling and brashing out. if your only felling small stuff..... perfect

  20. the Irish lad is funny as fu*k, and yeah a very dab hand with harvester. was only 5ft away at time holding winch rope away from the head while he grabbed trees that we just pulled up. very accurate not seen the processor yet

  25. there is tons of jackets but not many of the much needed over trousers. no good your top half being dry if your piss wet through from the waist down!!
