  1. That's a mean looking son of a b#*%~ , love that wrap
  2. that sums it up !!
  3. I've suffered lower back pain and sciatica for about 5 years now , No pain killer except the one's that knock you out work . I just suffer !! Some good days , some bad , tried Osteopath , Chiropracter , Phisio ,Bowen , needles , massage . All say the same thing ( wear and tear ) , then the clever suggestions , could you not do something else !! But I must say sitting around aint that comfy either . So I just get my head down and carry on . The whisky helps if it's on a drip !!
  4. As already said , save up and get a Silky no messing .
  5. I had a 4.2 diesel manual box for 20 years , worked hard , towed better than any other vehicle I have ever owned and never gave me any major problems in all that time . I drove an auto a few years back and it felt pretty good , maybe not quite as lively as mine , I recon you'll struggle to find a manual box these days though.
  6. Great pics Paul , I had breakfast a few weeks ago in the Duck & Waffle , top of the Heron tower . Amazing views , pity I was there on a pouring wet day .
  7. Rough count , working 16 with another 25/30 either semi retired or getting collected and probably another dozen in bits . I really need to start a clear out !!
  8. My mates 2008 Navara just stopped the other day . Timing chain came off , took the cover off and found most of the cogs had teeth missing . Full service history and only 71k on the clock . He was also telling me the RAC man told him he he'd just recently attended a 2007 model with the chassis broken in two due to rust . AVOID !!
  9. Envious of all that lovely tackle Paul .
  10. I think it was about £50 or ther abouts , I needed it so didn't pay that much attention
  11. I bought a mag casing for my 262 from the husky dealer a few months back , no problem . j
  12. Continental Vanco
  13. Sounds about right to me . :001_smile:
  14. Doesn't work for me , even midges laugh at that stuff and hardcore horseflies are attracted to it , you do get to smell like a hookers handbag though .
  15. Bet it worked great though
  16. Is that stuff not organophosphate ?
  17. 100% deet sprayed all over you and your top / tee shirt . Apart from that suffer !!
  18. I had a full ceramic replacment 3 years ago , got it done in the December and was back at work in the March . Struggled badly to start with , but I kept at it and I'm pretty pleased with it now , sure I'm a bit slow now but at 55 I don't recon I'm too bad . Before the op I was hardly able to walk and scooping codeine and tramadol like sweets . I have had some weird and wonderful pains since the op but usually muscle type rather than joint pain , but even now a hard day dragging brash and lifting limbs gives me a few days pain , but nothing like the knackered joint . I'm sure you'll be happy after the op , range of movement might not be what you had before but to be pain free will be fantastic . Good luck .
  19. I had a 2004 in 2006/8 was pretty unreliable. Head gasket went at 80k and turned out to be a cracked head . Steering box leaked badly , cost a fortune to replace then the transfer box started acting up , another fortune !! It was fine till it got to around 80k though
  20. Aye Steve , 100% agree with that .
  21. Spot on of course you could always run Aspen
  22. We had two 261's , both had no end of bearings and drums . My local dealer eventually converted both to spur type drums and metal cage bearings and told me we would have no further trouble . I think the metal cage bearings were Oregon ? Anyway , by that time I had lost confidence in them and sold them and got two husky 560's , best move for us as they have been fantastic , way way better than the 261's
  23. :thumbup1:100% agree Stubby
  24. Lookin good youg man .
