  1. Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone has tried converting pto chipper to a trailer mount and adding an engine. Is this a viable way to go or does the hassle and cost outweigh the benefit. I can also see this maybe the sort of question which makes 'old hands' roll there eyes, so sorry in advance😳 Cheers Tucky
  2. I've never driven a late td5 and tbh didn't realise they improved them ( once the oil in loom problems were sorted). I do really like the face lifted 2's but it's a massive jump in price especially when the newer lights can be fitted to the older shape.

    Night Shifts

Also a good idea to have a back up packet of pro plus in your bag. Be disciplined and don't take them unless you really have to but some nights (especially If you've not slept well) 3am will hit you like a train. Cheers Tucky
  4. Hi mate can you pm me specs, pics and price. Cheers Tucky
  5. Hi guys Just wondering if anyone has experience of the td5 as an auto, I previously had a td5 defender and thought it was a really nice lump but obviously that was a manual. Thoughts, opinions and old wives tales greatly apreaciated.... Cheers Tucky

  13. Hey guys I've just started with a new company and am trying to arrange the gear in a way I'm comfortable with , now I want to put a ISC swivel caribina onto the flip line they already have. Is there any proper/safe way of attaching to an excisting fixed eye? Thanks Tucky

    Thoughts

As a newbie in this industry I'd happily read the thread your suggesting. Every bit of knowledge helps me learn faster and hopefully safer. Tucky

As someone who has both a motorbike and a young family my thoughts are with you. Tucky
  17. Hi guys Just been reading a Canadian website About an experimental green wood chip furnace and in a batch process there Maths reckoned on an 11% Heat reduction penalty for using green wood chip. However this process is based on gasification not a standard wood burner. Tucky
  18. I found that the chips only burn well if you have lots of logs of even pallet wood already burning. They can help to keep it in overnight but the results are very inconsistent as they depend massively on the other wood used. Have you considered one of the sm70 chippers that cut small logs into chunks as I think they would burn much better than normal chip. Thanks Tucky
  19. Sorrys guys but wanted to bump this as I REALLY could use a break right now.....again any work considered the only restriction is distance. Thanks Carl
  20. Hi Guys I've recently ended up out of work and am looking for anything temporary until a promised job offer comes though.(both to help with money and to keep building my experience) I've recently passed my cs30,31,38,39 and have most of my own climbing gear. I'm more that happy to groundie for someone, drag brash or climb whatever is required.I'm on the Norfolk/lincs boarder and will travel a reasonable distance for odd days(obviously further for more days etc). Anything considered...... Thanks Carl
