    Forst??

Can't go wrong with one of these! Worth the extra dollar for the 8" just for the size of the hopper and in feed even if only putting 4" through it. The bulk it sucks in is impressive, and just easy to use!
  2. One of mine sticks, very annoying. All 3 leak oil from around the cap, Very poor considering how long it took them to come out!
  3. I have full ipaf for static and mobile booms.. But last hire I had of a self drive 29m truck mount, they didn't ask to see any tickets, or in any way demonstrate the machine to the chap I had collect it for me! They also forgot to take any deposit or full contact details!! On a 110k machine..
  4. I often wonder about this, always used to take the GM off so it didn't wear the hitch out! But have left the Forst on a bit more when roadside, for security rather than anything else. Take it off and you've gotta clamp it these days
  5. Global equipment exporters . Com Speak to Dave I think. Very helpful and much cheaper than UK even after import tax.
  6. My 560 started to sound like a rude boy car the other day, checked bolts and one of the top exhaust bolts has stripped the internal thread it seems, not good. Not sure what it bolts into, saw under warranty so will be phoning in the morning! But yes, it is a marvellous saw!!
  7. First thing I thought was, I bet he doesn't remember to lift the link arms up!
  8. Ah so I could order the shaft from a combi as a part and attach to the hl engine unit ok? I have a ht131, did think about trying to put the head on that but wasn't sure if would fit or if would damage the extension section at all? or buy a new head so can easily swap from hl to ht when need the reach.. Many thanks for the replies
  9. Morning, Currently using hl100 as longest reach hedge cutter. Could really do with an extra 50 or 100cm reach on some of the more ridiculous hedges. Now stihl don't do an extension, I'm guessing so that you have to buy a whole multi system, but this will cost over £700 just to get a bit more reach. I am just wondering if anyone has come up with any ways to extend their hl100 at all? Many thanks in advance
  10. 1800 plus vat plus delivery is the very cheapest I think you will get a one way one. 1300 would more likely be very used example. Paid 1100 no VAT plus delivery, for a well used but water tight 20ft
  11. Have a pair of breath flex, I found them annoyingly tight under the crotch, and that the pockets were designed to fill with saw dust! To add, the pfanner ventilation are good but they don't have the elastic inner that goes over the boot and clips on to the laces which I think is a really good feature on the arborist type
  12. Pfanner arborist, you will have to have type C for the tickets. So will be a little warmer!
  13. As per the title, does anyone know a loler inspector who could potential carry out a loler on a tracked mewp in Central Scotland? Many thanks in advance
  14. That's the best solution!!
  15. We think they used fairly quiet hydraulic cutters on ours, what ever it was had some serious power to bend this up, we couldnt shift it when taking it off to replace. Got much thicker one now, better lock etc, they will just go through the side next time though...
  16. Does anyone have any links to any generic risk assessments for herbicide / chemical application at all? Cheers.
  17. 3's you either get a good one or a bad one to a certain extent! The new discovery, awesome bit of kit!
  18. Difficult to know the exact reason for the price differences or the circumstances around the different quotes. So many variables. Had one job where the customer had a small field to clear of brambles and saplings. One firm had been in and given up half way. I went to quote to finish the second half. 2 hours with the flail on the tractor plus minimal travel, so £120. Was informed afterwards the other company had spent 70 hours with the strimmer at over £1000. Both prices could be justified for the time and effort spent, but different equipment and work systems can make a massive amount of difference. A like for like quote isn't necessarily just about the end result, but how a company is going to achieve it.
  19. About 3k. Indeed size and hopper size alone make it worthwhile, with the bonus if extra 10 horses. Saying that the st6 is great too.
  20. This chipper has been posted on here before with the same questions asked
  21. Could it be wear in the linkages or the bits that hold the pads in place causing it to sit at an angle and lock? Carlton is doing it almost every time now, not had a chance to have a look yet, just keep shouting at it.
  22. I paid for two crossings and still got fined! I sent them the receipts and they canceled the fine, but said to make sure I get the correct registration. There is no registration printed on the online receipt they give you which is not very helpful
  23. Like the idea of a lighter weight grinder on a turntable rather than a 20hp. So u can get it up stairs and into flower beds , over walls etc. But handles on front would be a must
  24. In discussions with a chap about fitting one to an ST8, just got to work out mounting due to chassis shapes, sumps/ spare wheels etc. I think will be used quite a lot once fitted, even just for small moves and spins etc, then for tight spaces
