  1. Are you talking about politicians or farmers? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Got a couple of 25t loads in the last two years, very reasonable rates, good bit lower than anything quoted on this thread so far. Enquirer about another load, to be told " can't sell you any because of the diseased larch"! Don't really know the ins and outs myself, but they can trundle all over the island with it on lorries, the roads have plenty evidence of this, bark, twigs and the like, ship it to wherever from the temporary pier, but can't sell firewood on the island!!!! 3. You seem to be concentrating very hard on farming Kevin, why no toe the party line and give the disabled a good bashing too? In fact, if you put farmers out of work, nobody will want a scarecrow[emoji38]. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Bollox, far too wide a brushstroke to have any meaning. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. It's food! Can't eat trees. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Aye, hang on indeed!! Pathetic. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Yup, I think you've hit the nail in the head!! Alternatively, why should farmers not make as good a living as bankers? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. It's subsidised!! Feck all to do with profit, well, not really!! It wasn't easy for farmers about 15 or so years ago, then they got help, then they got greedy, now they've been found out! They're not all greedy, but the greedy ones spoil it for the genuine grafters. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. I'm pretty sure there are enough tossers about to gaurantee a sale for that particular bespoke item, sadly! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. We pay plenty to do nothing! Politicians spring to mind, the House of Lords, but feck it, let's hang farmers!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. The chicken knows no better! Anything else is nonsense. They are a crop. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. I assume your going to follow that up with all the employment and other contributions to the country that this money creates? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. No they shouldn't. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. I don't entirely agree with the system Kevin, although I am a recipient[emoji15]. You suggest that " you don't even have to own the land", thank god for that!! It would only be the landed gentry getting the sub! I have my doubts about subsidising lamb production, not convinced lamb is part of the British publics staple diet. It's certainly a very complicated issue. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. The idea and the reality, to a degree is that it is actually the food you buy that is subsidised, but you have the choice to buy food from countries that have no animal welfare laws etc. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Should we call it "martyrdom"? No, I don't think we should. It's violent murder. Not convinced he intended to kill him self really. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Wrong thread maybe, worth a watch though!https://youtu.be/QilRAJV8d74 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. She's just a "Nicola" wannabe! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I don't think anyone in the country(or should I say countries[emoji6]) is in any doubt where the problem is coming from, the big problem is how to deal with it! Maybe there is a plan to deal with it stealthily[emoji15]. Maybe, as you suggest, we should chuck them all out and effectively "fan the flames", how you get rid of hundreds of years of immigration is beyond me I'm afraid. I'm not convinced immigration causes Islamic extremism! Maybe that's what I'm trying to say, not sure really! Not sure either, if telling them all to feck off will solve anything whatsoever.
