Yep I agree, but there has to be a starting point, an assessment I suppose, often that's down to the GP. We'd all like specialist treatment from the start, but due to the amount of time wasters/worried well, it just can't work that way. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

I think to be fair, in this country at least, GPs have a job to do, part of that job is to take the pressure off the specialist departments of the NHS, I'm sure the majority of them do their best, they are, after all, general practitioners not specialists, maybe we have to cut them some slack. I'm not sure about the "pill pushing" point, it sounds dangerous, but who am I to say it doesn't happen! I guess you'd have to have a statistic of the number of GPs guilty of this? I'd imagine there are many "better together" voters who may have been angered by brexit, to the point perhaps that they wished they'd voted for independence, but emotions ran very high during indyref, it's too soon for these people to just change their mind. Even if they wanted to, their pride wouldn't allow them. If they voted for independence they'd be out of Europe they were told. So, then they asked "would you like to leave Europe?" "No" they said!
