  1. Truckers HGV 24v to 12v Adaptor Converter 5 Amp Lorry Wagon Cab Charger | eBay £15 job done Or just wire from one battery. Regards, Steve
  2. Took a punt on this - CAR REAR VIEW KIT 4.3" LCD MONITOR+IR CAR REVERSING CCD CAMERA for BUS Trucks | eBay - and I haven't been disappointed. Used the same company to order a second camera, switches are just a fleabay search away at a pound or so each. If you order the single cam kit you get enough to wire the cam's power supply to the reverse light and 6 or 10m of cam feed wire. I wired the power supply up to the dash instead for mine so I can have the cams on whenever I want. I have a second switch to switch between the two cams. Chipper is 1.7T on four wheels (TP200 turntable) so not something to try to manhandle and when your on your own hitching up in the dark and pissing with rain (as the first time I used this in anger) it is a no brainer. Simples If you ask nicely I might even stick the whole setup on Youtube next week for you. Regards, Steve.
  3. Don't go mad on the cams, put two on the back of mine - one watches tow hitch and up to four feet behind for hitching up and the other is on top of chip box giving general rear view - two cams, one monitor, all cabling and switches £46 inc. vat delivered. All with night vision too. Regards, Steve.
  4. I'm sure PeteB'll be along at some stage, if not speak to Mac in the workshop - absolutely top bloke. Pics would be nice as that's not a common one on a turntable. Regards, Steve.
  5. Solid flywheel conversion on the Navara, been abused for 20k since and no problems, lot cheaper too. Regards, Steve.
  6. You don't know you're born. Princess of Wales hospital, Bridgend - coronation chicken ciabatta and ordinary coffee £6.20
  7. 37.0 what, mpg? Got a '58 Navara and it's done nearly 50k now, always been 24 around town, 28 careful on motorway and f all when towing. Since fitting the mud tyres (Insa Turbo Dakar) I'm getting an average of 18mpg, 22 on a good run and down to 10 very heavy towing. Regards, Steve.
  8. Sorry, think I might have got it Genuine Hatz Poly-V Belt, 50203101, Rollo Power Solutions Regards, Steve.
  9. Evening all, Hatz engine on chipper, need a fan belt asap (safety feature preventing it from running with slack belt). Belt is Contitech 502 03101 9 PJ 920 EL and Google is not being my friend tonight Anyone know where I can get one on next day or beat me to finding a tangible Google result? Regards, Steve.
  10. Meanwhile... Thanks Ali. As the rest of the stem is sound I don't think we'll be rushing for a Piccus just yet although it would be interesting to see. Looks to be minor dieback in the top of the crown so will just keep an eye on it, think this is one for a future generation. Regards, Steve.
  11. Nice work there. 'Petrol powered GRCS type winch' - thought those limbs were going up a bit quick! Watched and liked. Regards, Steve.
  12. Well it's a very important tree and it is to stay, so - Knowing me and knowing you, there is nothing we can do.
  13. And if it ever had to come down it would be - Money Money Money
  14. Need a sharper knife next time... The white area between the buttress' next to it is softer than cheese and 12" knife went straight through, tapping the bark either side gives the familiar hollow sound. Rest of stem is ok. Didn't take a measurement but estimate dbh to be minimum four and a half feet, increasing further up. Tree is supposedly Napoloeonic so 200 years+.
  15. What effect would removing these bodies have (to obtain cross sections)? I'm guessing not a lot in the grand scheme of things. Regards, Steve.
  16. Will get some tomorrow. Tree is a very large Copper Beech, recently had another Gano Beech fail less than 100 feet away. Regards, Steve.
  17. Was my initial thought, but looking for confirmation or otherwise. Regards, Steve.
  18. Evening Guys, what's the other one please? They're on the buttress roots of a very old Copper Beech. Regards, Steve.
  19. Spend too long watching videos and not saying thanks for the effort put into editing and uploading. Nice job and the 150 is definitely on the list now (along with backpack blower, new tractor, wife pacifier etc.!!) Regards, Steve.
  20. Would imagine it's fine as long as they're not case hardened. Regards, Steve.
  21. Anglepoise lamp with high wattage bulb? Regards, Steve.
  22. Don't use it very often, did a Beech before Christmas but don't have anything lined up at the moment. Anything crops up i'll let you know - I'm between Cowbridge and Rhoose. Regards, Steve.
  23. No. The only people that want to use an 880 all day are 18 year old kids I have used it for over half a day and that was up in the tree then ringing up the butt. Deep joy to then pick up the teeny little lightweight 660 afterwards I guess if 36" occasionally isn't quite enough then how about a 42" bar for the 660 from RobD, fit a skip chain and have Spud interfere with it? I'm guessing the oiler should just about keep up? Regards, Steve.
