  13. I might be totally wrong but I had similar problems with mine and it was the tank vent, the saw got really hot before dying then would not start for twenty mins or so, took the two screws out of the vent cleaned them reassembled and its been fine ever since Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  16. Haven't got any certificates but I do have common sense a spilt second flick of the wrist and no mishaps yet if I pass a saw to my boss or his father inlaw they assume the brake is off but it's just their habit I suppose not that they lack common sense Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  21. Not actually on my bench but in my shed, my 031av has lost one of the linings from a clutch shoe. I wouldn't run it how it is but instead of buying another clutch, can I not just remove the linings from the other two clutch shoes ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  25. more what I was getting at is not having time to do it all while on the job, saw gets dull, quick sharp up get back to work. If I started getting calipers and all sorts out at work, I would get a bollocking! But as you say at home on the bench you can take more time I personally have never worried too much my saws always seem to cut well, but I suppose I may be considered a bit naive as I've only been in the trade for three and a bit years, but when I love doing something I try to learn as much as possible Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
