    550xp or 365

Tbf the 365xt is quite easily modded into a 372xp anyway, it has been covered on here (with pictures) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. I thought it was an American faller, look at the tear on the stump! I'm guessing you're not entering the 'rate my hinge' thread!? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  7. Yes, fly agaric is a trip inducing fungi, and are labeled as poisonous for this reason, same as liberty caps are. But they affect a person in a different way, causing a space and size unawareness. The effects can cause something to leap greatly over a tiny obstacle, or make something gigantic look minuscule. It was referenced in the book of Alice in wonderland. It's also where the Christmas flying reindeer originate from, as also the sayings don't eat yellow snow and taking the piss Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. I remember on my 38 it pissed it down, he kicked the dogs out of the truck whilst we did the tree ID bit, they'd all hidden under the truck and jumped back in covered in mud and oil, I got covered! Never underestimate baileys power of finding a stick, we lobbed one off the top of a hill, over a brook and into the thick bracken and bramble, the dog STILL bought it back! 9. Damn! The support block is for the brake/hand guard Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. It prefers wetter ground, being a poplar Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Oh boy, you're gonna have fun cleaning that carb out! If there's excess fuel in the muffler and air box, it's a stuck needle valve, which will require removing the carb, cleaning it out (2 easy bits) and reinstalling (hard). The saw may also need a tune up, and a compression check is advisable. It's most likely to just be a tiny piece of sawdust that's causing the problem by holding the valve open, which allows constant flow of fuel through the carb, and given the fuel tank pressurises when the fuel is warmed from the crank heat or sloshed around, it forces a fair amount through, similar to running with a choke on constantly. 12. That's the one, Paul is forever yelling at him, although it is a shite, on my 31 and 32 the dog started running up the tree to rip branches off! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Fixed that for you niko! Maybe husky should go back to using Oregon, they last a damn site longer Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Timmy is a great little dog, the elder Russell is a pita when snedding Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Megadave?! Metallica, rammstein or machine head is a much better education! On the advisory note, saw maintenance is paramount! Break a saw using it, or not maintaining it, you WILL be demoted to silky bitch! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Question is, did you throw a stick for the dogs? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. You should clean the whole saw, and after 5 years I'd say its ready for a carb clean! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Ecoplugs Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. Do you have the chainbrake assembly, or support block? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Paul had a heart attack before the last APF, he did my cs30/31/32 & 38 assessments, Martin (the pirate) and Ian have taught me for all but my 39, I was assessed by Ian on that, in the worst possible weather! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. They're very torquey saws, very high compression, but most parts are NLA! The points ignition model is preferable as they're the same as the 070 parts. It'll pull a 25" bar happily, but you'll be there all day ringing up. I don't know how much you paid but they'll generally sell for £1-200 on eBay Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. You can't reset the carb without plugging it in. Check the colour of the plug, if it's anything other than brown, take it to a dealer! The problem may only be the breather, but it may be something worse. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. +1 for Ian Morgan, I didn't know Paul was still doing the training/assessing after he was ill a few years ago Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Could be a Jews ear, but there are a few others that look very similar Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    frankensaw

Well that's my point, if it's the same crankcase can it be a frankensaw? If you're slapping a different cylinder of the same series of saws you're just putting a different engine on, a 362xp with a 372xp cylinder is just a bigger engine, I'd hardly call it a skilled creation by a saw modder, or a ms460 top end on a 440, anybody can do it.
