  1. You're getting another 560 josh! Hopefully not a Friday special this time Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. My 560 hasn't, it's a demon! Haven't you still got the 361? I live by the rule that unless the machine is destroyed beyond repair then it's worth keeping until you can finance the repair (or just buy parts and do it yourself). Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. AR15?! Pity we can't get those over here! Looks like fun I would imagine the pistol was a little .22, whilst low powered, it's still strong enough to kill Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Assuming you already have a 361, your best options for aftermarket cylinders are meteor, hyway and then huztl. The quality control isn't there, so it can be very hit and miss with that seller (huztl), I personally would only buy the non-cylinder parts, but you won't know until you buy one Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Interesting reading through this thread... Those who suggest sterilisation, do you suggest we do it at random? How would you feel if it affected you? Or do we choose to exterminate a race? If we choose to exterminate a race, how should we do it? I hear there's a shower block in Poland purpose built for this. We can all make empty comments on these things, it only takes one idiot to implement them. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. In keeping with the ms211, the husky 135/140 is another option. Fit either the Stihl or husky with a picco super chain and it'll eat the wood! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. I've been checking my axe over for days, I've deduced the head is on correctly, but how do I start it? And where does the fuel go? TGB, if the sausage is sagging, it needs more tension or it falls off! And nobody wants their sausage to fall off! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. If it falls off, it's not tight enough Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. If you hold out until after the APF, you can get the 201t m-tronic, almost the 540, but not quite Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. My god! A forum full of professional saw users and nobody can agree on how to tension a chain! From the husky 560 manual: "Raise the tip of the bar... tension the chain by turning the chain tensioning screw clockwise... The chain should be tensioned until it does not sag from the underside of the bar" From the Stihl ms150t manual: "Hold the bar nose up... until the chain fits snugly against the underside of the bar... It must still be possible to pull the chain along the bar by hand..." Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. What for? 372's are usually bomb proof! You need to learn to fix em yourself, much faster! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. That kid in the video also has better operator positioning, with the exception of when he checks the front of the bar from the clutch side, than 75% of professionals, nor once does he put himself in a position where the bar could contact his legs. Sure, he doesn't use the brake, and could have caused kick-back, but even with his tiny arms, the brake would activate. The video may have been a one-off, who knows, the kid is safer than 99% of saw related vids on YouTube! His dad was crap though, didn't move one log! They were a trip hazard! On another note Mr. B, what's that pistol your daughter is holding? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. The Stihl contra/070/090 design has been around since 1959 and is still in production (55 years), the 050/051/075/076 since the early 70's and is also still in production. I think that answers your question. The only difference between the early versions and current models is the newer models have less replaceable parts, mine can have a replacement big-end bearing, many on here can't. On these saws, older is literally better! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Personally, I can't see a problem, other than lack of PPE and chainbrake use. Like firearms and vehicle operation. Or am I the only one who was allowed to drive off-road before I was allowed on the road? Shooting before 10? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    404 chain

So where do you stand regarding a Stihl 07(s) or 08(s)? The 123 was more torque than speed, it will pull .404, just don't expect it to win a race against anything! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. The 090 is a big beastie, perfect for milling big stuff as you can really push it hard and it'll run gigantic bars (over 8 feet!), but on stuff 36" or less, you're talking a 660, ideally with a dual port magnum muffler. I do have a photo of Rob D (chainsawbars) milling a 4' wide slab of oak, just not on this phone but if you check some old threads about the confor show, you should find it. An 084 or 075/076 will run 4-5' bars happily and are ideally suited to 36+" wood. Whilst an 088/880 is suitable on 48" as it hasn't got the auxiliary manual oiler. Forgot to mention the 3120xp, that also has a manual oiler! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Depends on the bar size, 15" you probably only need one (mine has 2, it's a bit looser), 18" you definitely need 2 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Yeah, it's a much bigger rim, but the speed is phenomenal! It works out at 27m/s at 13.5krpm! Better get some better trousers Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. If you're thinking of getting a 560, I strongly recommend fitting the standard 7 spline drum (575 26 10-04), I'm now running a 9t .325 rim and hell does it eat wood! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Well, I've had to replace the brake band of the 560 today, as the old one (the faulty type) has finally broke! It was a stupid design and I'm surprised it didn't go sooner... Shows how little use the brake gets! But I can't help wonder why husky use a spring so powerful that it could take out a moose! The Stihl ones are ever so easy to change! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Cannock, a 'quick' ride up the m6 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. Where abouts in WM are you, if you're not too far away, I can take a gander Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Nope, because hart has 5 different meanings in Dutch, but a hart in Dutch is a hert Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. New project, 346xp with a chunk missing from the exhaust port. Fitting a hyway 353 kit from tesgol. It'll need a clean, before anybody comments! Assembly was going good until I stabbed my finger with a screwdriver... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. I was always under the impression that the front mounted tensioning 365's were the 65cc models and the special was so because it's bigger, and because it was changed when the 371xp was obsoleted. I also know the difference between a heart and a hart Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
