It's back at ragley again, I'd have preferred Cannock chase, but hey ho!

Who said anything about attracting Dolmar and Stihl users? I'm just willing to do what needs doing when there are pretty girls that need company

It's no bother, if he has scantily clad girls, I'll get undressed with them

    +1, and a hog-roast with a whole pig!
  5. It's next to a powerline! Fell it!

Yeah, Steve and Andy kept buggering off for beer and noodles! Did you make any money mr b?
  7. The saws are tested at the factory, briefly and on aspen
  8. Stihl GB, they pass stuff round the offices anyway
  9. They still fix the 660's with floppy handles, so what's the harm in asking?
  10. Have you tried emailing Stihl? As poor as the saws design and dealers ability to fix the problem may be, they have an excellent direct support system
  11. That's the muffler, part reference numbers 27, 28 and 29 are scrubbed from the list
  12. Interesting thread, and my! how the tables have turned in 5 years! I'm wondering if the tables will turn again when the 201tm is launched? Interestingly I found an un-numbered part on the 201 IPL for a magnum muffler, with a reference to the 201t-z, oddly all part number for this model have been removed from the parts list?!
  13. No worries Jon, it's a big saw tbh for such a tiny engine. Waggie is right, nobody has managed to come close to the first series of saws by Stihl for versatility
  14. As niko said, even a clean mesh restricts the saw. This is less exhaust gas blown out, more heat in the engine and less power. A cooler engine lasts longer, and on an x-torq, less back-pressure means a leaner mixture, which is more run time
  15. Andreas is dead, as soon as his son took over in the late 70's, the type of saws changed from being very fixable to being disposable. Andreas' son also helped introduce the emissions laws we all love. Pm me your email, I have a workshop manual. I also have a workshop manual for that saw too, I'll pm you a link
  16. That's all well and good, but the op sounds like a home/land owner type user. Once again, the tree cutters of arbtalk start suggesting the weird and wonderful when it comes to saw selection, where as the person who wants the saw doesn't need/want something that has no local supplier, parts support or technical support! I don't know what mechanical/repair skills anybody has, but not being able to fix an 051 suggests little experience, as these saws were designed by Andreas, so they last a long time and are designed to be fixed
  17. They don't yet, that's the point! And my nearest makita power tool dealer is 30 miles away, so it's not like I can just pop round for parts! Stihl and husky on the other hand... I know of at least 5 within a 10 mile radius (one being L&S)
  18. £1000 tool? It's £10! It's either a really thin Allen key, or a pair of pliers! In both cases, it sounds like your dealers are not kitted up for the work on new type saws, can't be bothered to work on the saws, or don't know how.
  19. YOU CANT BUY DOLMAR IN THIS COUNTRY! The price of a ps5105 is €600 so that renders importing from Germany useless, and importing from America means they don't have a CE stamp, and therefore not legal for use. Argue that it doesn't matter, but if an accident occurs whilst felling with the saw, and the HSE get involved, you'll feel the effects as a timber cutter!
  20. Husqvarna 365, it's bomb proof, it's an old saw model now, but still in great demand

    Which Sthil

The 241 is amazing, the port work is better than the 550/560 huskies!

    020av

I would imagine positive as current flows from negative to positive
  23. Eddy_t

    Which Sthil

Stihl... If I had to choose, I'd say the 241 or 361, no other Stihl is even close, I'd even go as far as saying that if the 241 had husky's 2gen strato, it would be a killer!
  24. No wonder your inbox is always full, if you're constantly getting advice I only ever get asked about 090's and 560's!
  25. Haha don't most saws nowadays?!
