  1. Good call! Now you just need to gear it up from stock! 9t .325 or 8t 3/8! Anything less is pointless IMO, as you have a lot of redundant power!
  2. Having used all 4 of the saws, I own a 150t, I've owned a 200t, I've used both the 540 and 201. I like the 540, it has tons of power and screams like a loony! The 201 I'm not overly fussed with, there was a lot of negative hype, but those people can't tune a saw, the m-tronic replacing it will almost be as good as the 540. The 150 is light and makes you cut properly, but it's no good for tree destroying, being 10-15cc smaller. The 200t is what everyone seems to set as the benchmark, it's overly heavy, the av is crap, and if broken, pulls the saw apart. Everyone glosses over the fact it had an appalling carb, crap clutch springs, faulty wiring, an oil pump that either refused oil or emptied itself over the floor. It also weighed marginally less than the old all-metal 020. Oh, and crank seals that leak worse than the titanic!
  3. M-tronic yes, normal is crap, but have you considered the husky?
  4. If you can get a 361, get it! It's a fat husky! In all fairness, what do you plan on using it for? A 60cc is an ideal all-round saw size
  5. Oh I'm fully aware, I managed to blag a little discount, but still had to pay £10 more that rrp!
  6. Will that allow me to order direct from yourselves? that is what I have to do currently but it's a big price mark up between online price, rrp and what I pay
  7. I've got most of the manuals, including the 560 workshop manual, I just hate having to then order parts via a dealer, would be much easier direct
  8. Unfortunately the companies are told nothing about replacements until 2-3 months before launch, Stihl has no idea about the 201t-m, likewise husky GB knows nothing about the 572xp. With possibly adw excluded from that list! But I doubt he knows much more than us. Both manufacturers are draconian in their attitude to social media (once again, adw excluded), compared to the U.S. whom are quite avid to use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can even chat via Facebook to Husqvarna Sweden! Although Stihl does have a better phone service, the women at husky are miserable, the first time I called, I got told to f*ck off!
  9. Wuss!
  10. The service tool list is better for parts, but I'll be buggered if I know how to set up a husky account!? I suppose it's a dealer only system? The mark-up at my local is extortionate on service tools!
  11. It's not, it's just not as good as the 200t. Run the 335 against the first 201 and it'll be the best!
  12. Do you have a backup saw? Because you need one, just in case it breaks! Then a backup backup saw, you know, just in case! Then a big saw, for big trees, and a backup saw for that! And small saws, for using round the chipper, zipping up small stuff, etc! And a backup Topper, and backup, because if you don't have a saw, you can't earn money! I currently have about 10-ish saws (daren't put the actual number up), each one is really important and has its specific use! use that as your reason, or just buy them, stick em in the shed so she doesn't notice
  13. I'm surprised, isn't Norway usually cold?
  14. You'll be waiting a fair while, the saw is still being tested by third-parties, so unless you can wait until mid next year, I'd go with the 372. It's a brave man who buys the first saw too!
  15. There is no comparison, the 261 is slower, less power and a smaller displacement with not much weight difference to the 560! The 560 is nuts! It uses a far superior design and better tech. It's weak point is the Stihl-made zama carburettor. It runs better with the larger clutch drum too, either as .325-9t or 3/8-8t. TCD, surely by now, you've got to have figured, dolmar doesn't have the presence that Stihl and husky have, so people don't consider it. It could be the best brand of saw in the world (it isn't), but without market presence, that counts for nothing.
  16. The trainer should have a saw for you to use. In a few mor months I'm sure the 201t-m will be available here, then it'll be between the 540 and 201. Both have their weak links, and will break if you're the kind of climber that clatters your saw through the tree!
  17. Of course it will, it's a bigger 560!
  18. Ah you're husky staff then, which means I've probably already met you... And if your information is correct (I have been told different by your technical guys) then it's pretty damn stupid to reset the saw whilst idling. Any news of the 572xp yet?
  19. Well I'm repeating what I've been told by husky, what I've read on the patents, and what I already know on how the machines operate. I will assume you're either a dealer/repair agent or an arb company being as 50% of your posts are so far off the mark regarding repair of saws.
  20. Yes, it's the same as the 576 autotune system, but the new autotune doesn't, it just tunes the saw constantly, but memorises what the conditions are like when last in use.
  21. No, the 'new' policy mean you can buy non-machinery items online, but parts, clothing and all the other stuff you can. Eg, if it has a warranty, you buy it face to face
  22. I don't know where you get the information, but you're incorrect about it resetting, the carb has sprung loaded valves controlled by electromagnets, as the saw idles there is less pull from the magnet, so the low leans, the saw compensates by richening the H jet, leading to the bog and sluggish rpm, the saw quickly compensates and retunes itself. It is in no way a factory reset program. Factory reset would cause the saw to be too lean on 13", rich on 18", but no bog during actuation from idle to WOT.
  23. So you did the dishes then
  24. No, I meant she could do you some favours
