    Stihl 026

And were I not able to either service my own mower (or get it done free at work) I'd have mine serviced in winter ready for spring, logical really
  2. Stihl normal 2-stroke oil, or husqvarna equivalent, bio chain oil there are tons on the market with stihl bio plus being the most available

Garden tractors have snow plough attachments rich!
  4. Lovely! Prefer pips, can't hear them squeak
  5. I use the husqy xt harness, better than the stihl (less pressure in certain places) and a million times better than a cheap basic harness, and mine was cheap as it was marked up wrong at the local dealer, was cheaper than the basic oregon harness
  6. I once did a report on sycamore, the research showed it was outcompeted by ash, whilst supporting a huge range of ecology, it pollards extremely well, making it a very viable tree for rotational harvesting for firewood, whilst the wounds rot out and provide cavities suitable for nesting birds, insects and certain mammals, I like it, whilst the boss at work thinks they are a weed and should be removed where possible, as for robinia, dislike it strongly, I fell it where possible, as it suckers like mad and it's bloody prickly
  7. Impressive, nice to see work carried out with conservation in mind, have any been discovered with roosting noctules yet?
  8. My 385 sets fire to everything else, including the operator! Petrol in the oil would be a little risky on that
  9. Do you loosen the bar nuts before you tension it? I have seen that done and strip a thread, check the roller bearing for damage, might be fine
  10. If you have a problem with them I have a solution... Buy husqvarna, much better no silly twisty caps there!
  11. We were told to wash out the oil tank with neat petrol but don't run the saw or it'll catch fire

    stihl hs 45

    US cleaner and carb kit
  13. I suppose it's a bomb site to the neat-freak, where is he tonight? Nobody said the 'A' word yet?
  14. That soon?! I'm a husqy man but I doubt it will be available in the 'near' future
  15. Cakes and pies spud?? You will have to eat more brash!

    Rancher 50

    Try a husqy 365!
  17. Today's work of dropping a false acacia, my favourite toys:thumbup:
  18. I thought green stuff was called brash? And doesn't it go on the fire or through the chipper?!
  19. No potatoes and gravy?
  20. mewp!
  21. You're supposed to wear a helmet on a horse, as for using a chainsaw on one, I'm not sure of restrictions, I'd wear a lid just incase
  22. Nice 281, but make sure ya get yourself some PPE! I'm 22 and I nearly took my leg off with a similar size saw, didn't know bout the chainbreak or PPE, drop started the saw, it locked with the compression, swung round and took a few chunks out my shin
  23. Chisel chain I assume?
  24. What was the chain, as it sounds rather aggressive new?
  25. I heard it needs a grinder to sharpen
