  2. You must throw em about more than me, and I usually find the weaknesses in a machine Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Dismantled an oak, wiped out 5 different fences, 2 sheds and a patio, dead birch removal took out a fence, did another in the same area a few days later and took out another fence, another dead birch took out some slabs, pruning a eucalypt, took out a hedge, plus other minor damages with trees Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. You'll end up with the job of sharpening his saw now, along with everyone else's he tells Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Where's her gloves?! You don't want her to get white finger, it'll affect her grip on certain things... But you've trained her well Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. I'm sure it could have been welded, it's only the oil tank, what's wrong with new huskys? I think they look great, feel great, and most importantly aren't german! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. What ya doing with your 362xp? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Generally 8-12k rpm is WOT in a cut, the saw is limited to 13.5k rpm Ignore the book, just cut tbh, it'll sort itself out Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Move the tree to the other side of your garden, and if you're still loosing the land, dig salt in the ground they're gonna gain, a scorched earth policy is best Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  12. I have a 560, it's a 2012 model with all the original bits, I didn't bother reading the manual, therefore I didn't read the set up, I started it, revved it to warm it, and then destroyed as many trees as possible to break it in, hot starts can be a bugger Tbf, especially if its cooled a bit, such as sat for 5 mins, I usually start it on WOT if its been sat for 5 mins, if its ran out though its a PITA so I just treat it as a cold start, but I've always done that with the 385xp, as repriming the carb on a non-purge bulbed saw is a bugger, so that was 2nd nature to me. Immediate restarts are just a case of pulling it over a few times Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Only if they turn blue generally they're safe, have tried slippery jack, larch bolete, red and yellow cracking, and the orange birch ones, only take a couple though, but they're all very tasty! If you leave some, more grow I found Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. I just cut with mine from the start, after all, how would you set the autotune if you arrived on a job and there's no logs to make cuts in? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  19. Nah, I've known her for longer than I care to remember, but if a 3120 is on offer, I'll tie her up and deliver her myself I'm terrible with names, so it bugs me, once spent an hour avoiding the head mechanic of my local dealer because I couldn't remember his name Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. That does make perfect sense, would explain how the fusarium patch (M. nivale) takes effect on sports turf, and a few others for that matter On another note, I once recently found a large colonisation of mycelium in a spike hole down 6 inches in a golf green, no idea what it was, I doubt it would be M. nivale with how deep it was, but I could be wrong Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Yeah, but they don't fit my van still trying to remember his girlfriends surname Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Decompaction of the soil is just as important, if not more than, mulching, as this allows the roots to respire, it allows better uptake of water, trace elements and nutrients, also at this time of year, the roots will be actively growing to store energy for winter, so any minor damages with an airspade will be rectified by the tree as it produces new roots, whilst mycorrhizal fungi will help reclaim the nutrients from the lost root fibre Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Didn't see any photos of an ash, definitely a scots pine, even with the posters appalling photos! There are certain photo effects that are good, but a blurry pic when asking for advice is not conducive to advice Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Did Jon get a 560? Will it be the end of his questions? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Had a good look at your wheels, they're now safely locked up with my saws, tyres are that new they still have the rubber bobbles on the centre tread! Sprocket is in fantastic shape, and disks look good, I'm guessing you'll have good fun thrashing your bike around! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
