  1. 560 xp wrap handle is part number 505 15 69-01 (think it's actually for 562 xp american version) it was £100.46 took a couple of weeks to arrive. I ordered it through my local dealer. More of a 3/4 wrap than full wrap.
  2. How far do you allow them to wear before replacing? There is already some peening on the bottom of the tie straps. Thanks
  3. Bought recently but secondhand off e bay are there any date codes etched on bars?
  4. Accidentally bought one. What saws actually use this pattern? very similar to HK095 so with some small modification I should be able to use it.
  5. Try Kieran Wall Ampleforth saw mill N Yorks, always has big trees and just within 100 miles.
  6. is that mf 399 ex mendiplogs?
  7. Exactly my view on it I think i'll wait until they are on the ground and the farmers are nattering at him to get them moved.
  8. Not the Sheffield trees. For me the trees are only firewood, some big trees 80cm dbh ,some ash mostly horse chestnut. Poorly shaped, broken limbs, heavily lopped various fruiting fungi
  9. This is my situation, the estate where i work are felling unsafe roadside, fieldside trees. In the past i and others have been allowed the trees for free provided we clear them in our own time with our own tools etc. There is a new agent managing the place now and everything must be paid for. Does anyone have a simple formula that they use to say that tree is worth £x.

  11. I'll second hydrapower (Westerbys) Sherriff Hutton they know their stuff.
  12. A farmer i know was after some in the last couple of weeks and was told £22 per tonne he usually paid about a fiver or free if there was a planing/resurfacing job nearby. Apparently they are being re used recycled on the roads now.

  15. g handle is the same in appearance but heated.395 xp not 395 xpg heated
  16. They are quite similar in specs on paper so what would make you choose one over the other?
  17. Chainsaw wellies, my experience is they are cold, heavy and stiff, the best thing is taking them off! Definitly not every day wear unless you really have to.
  18. Sounds like they can be a right pain! I'll bring it home if there's room its only 300 miles away!
  19. I think it is an L470 but not sure what engine it is.
  20. I have a chance of having one as we are clearing my late aunts house. I havn't seen one since my teens when they were all the rage. Were/ are they any good ?
  21. From the BBCLoggers captured at work in Larry Fink's Opening the Sky - BBC News
  22. Both have appeared in my boundary hedge which is a mix of thorn, beech holly and white beam I just cut the russian vine at the bottom a couple of times a year and and that seems to control it. The honeysuckle appears to be far more aggressive though. The small bit that came last year affected the bit of hedge it grew in (a bit of beech) in that it didn't grow like the rest of the hedge. I've just spent some time pulling and cutting the honeysuckle out, the dam stuff had crept and layered itself for at least 10 feet either side of the place it first grew. would it have overcome the hedge given time? I intend to treat it with some homemade glyphosate gel as it re grows do you think this will kill it, will it kill my hedge as well?
