    My mates saw

My workmate (ab)uses his saw irregularly. After 6 months in the shed it won't run very well. Basically it goes well without the filter cover off badly with on any suggestions?
  2. Thanks Rob D and Les that was the info I was after. It looks as if I will have to look at /buy a new oil pump because even at setting 4 the chain runs dry.
  3. Back again, thanks for the part number info. What I am really trying to find out is this is (using Oregon part numbers) a bar 208SLHD005 Which is on my saw, see photos, the same as a 208SLHD009 which is the actual part number recommended by everyone. The 005 bar fits but i havn't worked out if it is reducing the oil flow. I'm trying to eliminate things before replacing the oil pump and buying a new bar
  4. I have just done a smear of copperslip on the saw around the oil port and pressed the bar on. The hole in the bar only mates with half of the saw oil port. This could be reducing the flow I had found the correct oregon part numbers for bars appropriate to the saw but on closer examination found the bar i have is numbered 208SLHD005. I mis read the 5 as a 9 to start with until I put my specs on!
  5. First post from a long time lurker. I have rejuvinated a 181se from 1983 and am pleased that it goes like a dream..... only it does not really oil the bar enough. The bar that is on is an 005 which according to Mike Acres site is a partner/electrolux pattern. I know huskies pattern is 009. They share the same slot size and the hole position is similar (005 holes are elongated) I can't tell if the oil hole is in the right place. Anyone help?
