  1. Is that the one sold on ebay a month ago. I really wanted it but the price was too high for me.
  2. I've been sidetracked , gardenkit has it, chain on backwards! my last post was a bit slow my sausage fingers can't keep up. Unfortunately no prizes.
  3. Come on ! read the description then look @pics
  4. Sorry no link but look at item no111050225020 on that auction site. Read the description then look (not that hard)
  5. Another big + for samsung. I had a GT2710 and it went through the washing machine 3 times and still worked eventually the key pad got too dodgy and I couldn't see the screen for scratches so I now have a c3350 its an updated 2710.Works well and seems strong enough so far. Nick
  6. There is tension spring which pulls the pawl on. One end is hooked in a tab, the tab is slotted, move the spring from end (of the slot) it is currently at to the other the spring tension then holds the pawl off the ratchet allowing you to pull out the cable. Hope that makes sense. Nick

    Exhaust

As you say your mate bought a cheap saw....maybe the exhaust is for appearance rather than effect. Could be a cat, what make is it? the spec can usually be found with a bit of searching on line Not being disrespectful like.
  8. They have 5 valmet 665 loader tractors in the direct sales section £12500 to £14000
  9. At the moment there is an ex council 406 complete with a schmidt snow blower on that auction site as a classified ad. Item no 121057735313, 35 years old and 10000 kms!
  10. I hate wellies,I do spend a stupid amount of time wearing them and find them cold sweaty and get manky feet! These are class 2 saw boots no goretex so far have treated with some brush on nikwax. I have a boot dryer so each night they are dried so hopefully no cumulative sweat build up. Thanks for the reccomendations, keep them coming
  11. My worn for a week boots leak like a sieve:thumbdown: in spite of the "waterproof" label attached. So what do you use that gives good results... and dry feet! Only been paddling about in frozen snow no liquid water this week. thanks Nick
  12. I'm not superstitious at all don't believe in luck but the father in law keeps bombarding me with sh**e as I have some to fell.
  13. So who has felled holly trees and feels that the have had more than their fair share of bad luck as a consequence?
  14. Slight hijack but there are a couple of old dolmars on that there auction site a 120 and a 123 i was told the 123 is a very grrr machine!
  15. I think some of the replys so far are a bit harsh. So mcmoonter wants to be able to cut and split his own firewood. He didn't appear to be asking where to sneak into woods to illegally fell trees I got the impression he is after felled lengths to log up. If Kirkaldy hadn't been mentioned would answers have been different? I don't know the area has it a poor reputation?
  16. How does it compare to the big two on price for their 50cc pro saws?
  17. I'm going to bump this thread in the hope that some of the site sponsors who retail boots will read it and be able to give any suggestions ,thanks Mr Nick
  18. So once you have a chip pile reaching a critical temperature its probably best not to stir it up as allowing air in can increase the chance of fire! scary stuff
  19. How does the spontaneous combustion work? Iv'e heard of it in straw stacks and it is often the explanation for fires but i can't get my head around how something so wet actually ignites.
  20. I have wide feet, don't know in measurement terms, and am looking for recomendations please .My local supplier has a limited stock for trying on plus they are expensive (compared to online!) Husky chainsaw wellys fit well but are like wellys ! cold damp feeling etc. Thanks
  21. Looks remarkably like an agribuggy 2d which is a small self propelled sprayer/ fertiliser spreading machine. It has a lot of attatchment points on the chassis for all sorts. Ours has a ford duratec engine and gearbox transfer box for 4wd and landrover axles. The diff is geared down, 24mph with small lgp tyres on as fast as you dare with 36 inch rowcrops on

    My mates saw

Was expecting to be "flamed" for that (I'll get my coat....)
  23. MrNick

    My mates saw

Sometimes when doing a search you get a massive number of correct hits and its difficult to filter out what you want !! Any how I've found a dolmar manual on line there is a prefilter on the side I'm suspecting this now
  24. MrNick

    My mates saw

Annual, Perrenial or biannual problem eh . Always the least cared for saws isn't it. Really its not my saw either!!!
  25. MrNick

    My mates saw

Its had a new plug, fresh fuel and he has cleaned the air filter in (erm) petrol
