  1. Excellent piece and I love the idea of placing the plant in the middle, really sets it apart from anything else I've seen
  2. I'm in the process building a stock of timber for carving. I already have in excess of 600kg of elm and I have some corsican pine lined up. I was just wondering what woods people would class as the better/best woods for chainsae carving? Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved George
  3. I was thinking the same thing, shame there's not many vids to see what it can do but that's besides the point I suppose. It's already sold it's self to me haha. Come with a sugihara bar as standard too 👍
  4. Bought the 360tes a couple of weeks or so ago and although I have not done loads with it I can say that out of the box it has impressed me and is much better than any ms201 I have ever used and if it's like my other echo's it'll only get better with time. Considering the 620sx at the apf
  5. Didn't like mine to start with but kept playing and I love it now. Leg loops and back support are nice and stiff so it provides plenty of support. My only gripe is that the side d's are a tad on the large dose and can get in the way on tighter trees but then the are really easy to use due to the size
  6. So the 360tes turned up a week or so ago and today was the first day I have used it in anger and im very happy. The 14" bar that comes on it looks more like a 16" and un balances the saw a little but I have a 12" to put on it. Feels very nice in the hand and certainly isn't short on power, build quality also feels and looks good. Will update when I have done a bit more with it
  7. I am aware of the prodrive map and button as one of the guys I work for has it which is why I was asking about chips/remaps but it doesn't really help as my truck doesn't have it
  8. Tut tut...no sympathy! my sister was nearly killed by a drink driver. well done for keeping the business afloat though. I sincerely hope you learn from it and don't do it again.
  9. Hey all. I have an 06 3l denver max and was considering one of the above and wondered if anyone has any experience with either of them? Preferably I would like a chip. Can anyone recommend where to get one from? Thanks in advance George
  10. I have had an 06 3l rodeo since November and it's brilliant. Bags of power, comfortable and great road manners and handling for its size. After purchasing this one I don't think I would ever want to change
  11. Have no experience with it my self but a friend of mine has used it several times and recons it's an awesome bit of kit
  12. Wanted a 1/4 pitch sprocket for an Echo and contacted the same company 4 times and still not a word back from them, I even told them the exact part number. Was pretty dissapointed to be honest. On the plus side, a quick call to forest and arb meant that it was with me in a couple of days, had some excellent service from those guys 👍
  13. After using both I would personally sway towards the husky as apposed to the Stihl. Nothing wrong with the Stihl at all but in my experience the husky is much faster cutting
  14. Had another go at an owl today and although it's not perfect, im very pleased and it leagues ahead of any other owl I've done. What you think?
  15. Probably going to get put down for this but does no one use gas less? I didn't think much to it to start with but once you get used to it there's nothing wrong with it, can get a pretty decent weld too. Good for someone that doesn't do much welding and doesn't want to stump up for gas
  16. Not yet no, they don't arrive until the 14/15th so I'm expecting it by the 20th. Cannot wait to see what it's like
  17. It's actually the ms150 bar and chain I got from you a little while back I have put on it rob so no slop at all. I shall get that sprocket posted back over the weekend, shame it wasn't the right one, had to get one from echo in the end but it was £26 . Worth the effort though after feeling the gains
  18. I had to re drill the chain tensioner holes which was easy, just lined the two bars up, clamped and drilled but the groove didn't line up for the oiler as that uses the same hole as the tensioner so i had to carefully grind the groove down with a slit disc so it met up with the tensioner hole. Not a difficult jom by any stretch of the imagination but had to be careful so as not to damage the rails too much
  19. So ive had an Echo cs260tes for a while now and it has been a brilliant saw and for the size of it its got some guts but upon the release of the Stihl ms150t and seeing the bar and chain combo on that I got to thinking...my saw is great on 3/8 lo pro but what would it be like on that tiny chain size the ms150t is running? Well...I can tell you it's excellent! And I mean I cannot believe the difference, just been out and stuffed the entire bar in some 5 year is dead elm and it just ripped! Was also able to push much harder than I could with the 3/8 chain and cutting speed is now exceptional for the size of the saw. It was well worth the effort to mod the bar to fit.
  20. Sounds like a pest controller needs to be contacted! There bold and they don't give up, in a way they are much the same as thieves. Once they get the idea in their head and they want something spending money on deterants will only slow them down, if they want it they will get it.
  21. I realise that, to be honest I'm not sure I could make that shot again, I surprised my self a little. I had shot targets out to 500 plenty of times before but never live quarry. It was a really still night and I guess I just felt I couldn't fail really. He was sat down facing me at the time and didn't look as though he was gonna bolt if you know what I mean
  22. A little yes, at the time I had the rifle zeroed at around 350yards as i didnt often go much below that and worked it on the mill dots to 400,450 and 500 yards. We picked the fox up at around 300 yards but I believe it was a touch lamp shy and ran to where it believed was a safe distance
  23. 10 shots from a 250bar fill to be precise haha, watched a video on it the other day. Not so sure a 303 caliber air rifle is necessary either but that's what it is
  24. I lived and worked on a farm on the top of exmoor for 5 years
