  1. Glad you have got it sorted Bob The Dog. Got my blades back today after being re-ground to the correct angles. Will find out if they work when its time to change the blades over. The anvil does lower quite a way down so shouldn't need a shim after just 1-2 grinds. Does make you feel relived when the machine works as its supposed to rather than having to force everything through. Ross.
  2. I did this, but they still came back at the wrong angles..... Clearly thought they knew best? Also, how many sharpens can these take before they are too small? Does it matter if they are ground over the bolt holes?
  3. Shane I am here. Recently had this similar problem. Had my knifes sharpened at local place. Came back all shiny and sharp. Put them on and adjusted anvil. Struggled to pull anything in. Changed gap on anvil, still crap. Ordered new set from Saturn, bolted in and was back to normal. Compared the new set to sharpened set and then was a difference in angles on both edges. Now awaiting to get them sharpened to correct angle from local place. Hadn't heard of this difference in angles fro GM though. Are you getting your brand new knifes re-angled? They should be fine if there are brand new. Ross.
  4. How are you supposed to set the anvil clearance gap once blades have been sharpened? The manual doesn't say a thing. Is that bent piece of metal meant to do with something about it?
  5. 50 & 60mph for vans. However, if its a campervan then its same as a car. They need to update this as vans are exactly same as cars nowadays. They can go same speeds and are just as safe.
  6. That's crazy. He was clearly having a bad day and wanted to make people pay for it. If it says on the ticket defective trailer brakes and nothing about the breakaway cable and you can prove that the brakes work and nothing has been touched then surely you can argue it. He should have just given you a warning/letting you know. Watching these Police Interceptor programmes, they let people off for doing 20mph over limits and causing abuse. Clearly good and being fair to everyone......
  7. I started doing little bits with this! Then used a slightly bigger trailer with mesh sides. Didn't look dodgy at all!!
  8. Will check them out tomorrow and might start putting some super fuel in instead. Charge the extra cost to the customers
  9. Mine has been doing this for a while now. Have just ignored it. Is it bad that its doing it or does it not matter?
  10. I just get someone to lean on front of machine while I hop inside the chute and dislodge the object. Safety first
  11. Not having a handbrake is surely a mistake? Bye bye chipper when moving it by hand.
  12. Simple, don't indicate. Problem solved.
  13. No one could have foreseen this very unlucky incident coming. It is very rare that they will red flag a race because a vehicle has come off the track and is being lifted out. There were yellow flags being waved so drivers were aware. Bianchi was just extremely unlucky to have lost it in that exact area, 10meters further round the corner and he would have hit the barrier just past Sutil. No one should be to sent to prison. (Unless they shot his tyre and caused him to crash).
  14. Will Floyd be sold with the van? Or is he a separate price?
  15. Surely having wheels that don't turn defeat the object of having wheels?
  16. Is it not called a food chain......? (Even if they don't eat it.)
  17. Has anybody got any opinions on this pole set? Can anybody compare it to the AUS system in terms of weight, ease, better/worse or near the same? Looks to me to be a copy of the Jameson version but is cheaper. So is it cheaper because its worse? Ross.
  18. Has been boiling in Worthing last couple of weeks. Thunderstorm this morning and the whole of Worthing is flooded. Train tracks have disappeared.
  19. Looks very nice. Shame about the metal frame it sits on.
  20. From the photo I would say there Scott's Pine.
  21. That's going to look awesome once the Yew has re-grown into what im guessing your making a barrel.
